The Pendant

Chapter one: The letter

Anna sighed as she finally opened the door and sat down on her dusty couch. She looked through all the mail and she saw the usual:taxes, bills, and a strange old letter. She looked at the address & sure enough, it was her apartment. She looked at it confused, then she opened it up it said in big bold letters:
YOU ARE INVITED TO COME JOIN THE GREAT OUTDOORS WITH THE CLASS OF 2019!!!
She looked at the letter, And then her face reddened with hatred and anger. She remembered the eighth grade dance. The class had pulled a horrible prank on her and Olivia her friend at the time. They still kept in touch but didn't talk as often and didn't exactly go out with each other like to coffee or restaurants. Anna remembered it like it was yesterday. She hated everything about the day & she wanted to forget it from then on, but still she resented everybody in that class. There was a large disco ball hanging at the top of the gymnasium and everybody was in their most formal clothing. She believed everything would go well that night. From what she could piece together that night with all the humiliation and embarrassment that is, everybody placed a mixture of mayonnaise, pig blood, Greek yogurt, and other disgusting things that could go in to that concoction. Then, as Anna and her date, Matthew B., moved closer to the disco ball at the top of the gym Matthew said he would go to grab them some punch. He was in on it, too. Well He want to go grab some punch, Olivia's friends urged her to go dance with Anna. Suddenly, somehow, Olivia met Anna under the disco ball. "Hey" Anna said. "Ditto" Olivia replied. Then Zachary whispered to the DJ to play a pop song that was very fast. Olivia & anna started to get into it and started dancing right under the disco ball. suddenly a few of the boys went backstage and then they pulled a string that opened the disco ball and the disgusting horrifying concoction fell over Anna and Olivia. The two girls stood there in shock for a little while looking at each other. Then, they ran to the bathroom while they were sobbing. The boys came out from backstage and they started high-fiving each other and congratulating each other. Everybody gasped and was surprised that something like this had happened. Meanwhile Anna and Olivia were trying to clean the disgusting mess that had fallen on top of them. all the while they were crying and sobbing. A few of the girls stood in shock looking around the gym. Then they ran to the bathroom to see Olivia and Anna. The Boys who had  done the prank ran out the door and left their dates behind.once it was clear that the mess would not get out of their dresses anna and Olivia called their parents to come pick them up. Finally their parents arrived. They left the prom and vowed never to talk to anyone else in the class ever again. Ever since then Anna has been trying to put it behind her but she just couldn't. Then it registered into her head... suddenly she knew a devilish way to get her revenge. She had been waiting for this. She hated everybody so much,so, so, much, that she was going to call up Olivia and they would plot that horrible revenge...
