*Nagisa's POV*
Karma is typing...
The screen soon displayed three dots, kind of surprising me with how quickly he was ready to reply. It usually takes him at least 5 minutes before he even sees any message. Is he really that ill, to the point of not doing anything? I doubt I interrupted him in the midst of a game, it was just oddly too soon. But then again... If he were fatally ill, then I doubt he'd have his phone around him...
The dots hopped along the end of my screen, them stopping occasionally only to pick back up again a few seconds later. I bit my lip, soon feeling extremely uneasy. Was he okay? I was pretty sure he doesn't usually take 6 minutes to answer any text. He was usually a yes or no type of guy... With a few exceptions. The dots paused. The pause was long.
I tensed up. I had to admit, I was growing much more worried. When I finally began to think about the way he was 'acting', I remembered he was acting similar to this, only in person. I sighed lightly, throwing a hand back, palming through my bangs. He had trouble playing his words, and I wanted to ask him about it. I just planned to ask him during lunch time in privacy, but then he stopped showing up... Ding!
'Karma: Im at the park corner.. by sidewalk...'
I felt my heart skip a beat as he finally replied. But wait... What was he doing outside? At the park this early? If he wasn't feeling well, shouldn't he be back at his place resting? It perplexed me... Ding!
'Karma: can you come get me.. I cant.. its too hard to..'
Ding!
'Karma: pls'
If anybody caught a glimpse of my expression, even they wouldn't know how to describe it. It didn't even feel like I had a heart to beat for a moment. Was he in trouble? That wouldn't make any sense, Karma can usually get out of anything... Note that I said usually. If he really were physically unstable, then that would he horrifyingly bad...
Dang it, if you knew you weren't well, why'd you go outside you idiot?
With a quick motion, I swiped several words into my text box, sending the message as soon as I possibly could. With that, I sprung up from the couch, sliding my in shoes and leaving. No one was home to tell me to stay, anyway. After locking the door, I found myself rushing down the street.
What have you got yourself into?
My thoughts rambled through my head, whispering the most unpleasant scenarios which my mind shrieked could be possibilities. I wanted to shoo them away, they really weren't helping me. It was making me panic, although I guess it was kind of fortunate that it made me move faster.
I took a few breaks, 'break' translating to 'fast walking whilst replenishing my breath'. When I turned a corner, from a distance away, I saw the park. A bit further, I saw someone on a bench. He was in a relaxed position, so maybe everything was okay...? The figure was leaned back against the bench, and I could tell from the slight golden glint in his eye it was him, if the red hair wasn't enough. My pace slowed slightly, trying to cough oxygen back into my lungs.
"KARMA-KUUN!!"
I coughed again. That didn't help. Lifting my arms to wave at him, I flinched as I saw the figure fall over. He was on his side, and it appeared as if he were coughing. I almost choked. That didn't help either. Of course I found myself running again, what can I say? It worried me too much to just keep walking.
My shoes pounded into the concrete, saving myself from slipping up every now and then. I guess you could say I was desperate to find out what was going on. I needed to know so that I could help him.
It was obvious he needed help.
/A/N: Hallo! Author-chan here! I know the chapter is short and all, but there is a reason for that! I'm not very good at plots I apologise, but I'm not going to spoil it either. I still hope my writing is fitting enough for these two!/
