(Link's POV)
Three days my deku nuts! It's been a week now!! I wonder why he hasn't attacked me yet... I've been more cautious with ordinary things thanks to Ben! But wouldn't he be more creative? Sighing I decided to go and see Zelda considering it's her who always comes to my house. Grabbing my sword and putting my boots on I head out, its warm out and beautiful "Link!" I stop and get greeted with a fairy whom can only be my companion Navi "hey Nav!" she smiles and flies beside me "going to see Zel?" she grins "yeah why?" "hehehe no reason" she grins more "can I come?" "sure" "yay!" she sits on my shoulder like she would on our adventures.
We arrive and I extend a hand lightly knocking on the door no answer and it's dead quite I decided if weather or not I should break in....Meh I'll break in I turn the knob and enter its pitch black "hello?....." Silence "SURPRISE!!!!!" people who I've known since my adventures jump out of random places and confetti pours out of nowhere and there's decorations everywhere, okay I'm completely confused Zel walks up beside me "it's your birthday silly!" "what?.. oh yeah" I smile "happy nineteenth" she leads me into the kitchen and they make me do all of the birthday things this day was perfect, everyone was happy!
(Ben's POV)
"Ben ever notice how you're a pro with electronics" I nod looking at M.S "well there's a purpose to the whole thing" I urge him to continue "have you been experiencing anything lately be honest" I stay silent "w-well he's been calling me......" who's he? This feeling keeps saying my brother, I have a brother? "who's he Benjamin?" M.S looks me in the eyes and I advert my gaze "my brother....." his eyes widen a little I take this to my advantage "M.S I deserve to know who I was before you adopted me" I don't look away but wait for my answer "soon Ben...soon I can tell you, but that's risking everything some of your memories aren't that pleasant..........." I sigh utterly annoyed "lets continue with the lessons" he straightens and nods firmly "you can hack right?" "it's not hard well to me anyways" "is there other things you can do?" I shrug "I can try" I grab my laptop and place it in front of us.
An hour later nothing happens and I let my mind wander when this tingly sensation runs through my fingers when I touch the screen and the computer starts glowing all I can see after that is numbers, numbers more numbers as quickly as it came I make it go away I felt trapped when I see all of those numbers "Ben you okay?" M.S kneels beside me "I'm fine" I mumble getting up and wondering away "where are you going?" "Out" I walk out the door and down a path....When that moment happened it felt somewhat familiar...Is M.S hiding something from me? "B.....e......n" I freeze "NO!!! SHUT UP!!!!" I cover my ears and I probably look like an insane person but I didn't care, my brother has been calling for some time now and his voice is getting fainter and fainter each day panic races through me.
I think think and think and realize that I'm desperate I speed walk to Zelda's house she'll probably know about a good potion seller who can bring my memories back. I slowly extend my hand and pull away 'should I?" "B......" I knock rapidly sweat dripping down my face someone answers the door and I regret it it's link he scowls at me "uhh is Zelda here?" "why" he growls "I need to ask her something......" she walks to the door giggling a little "who is i-" she sees me "Ben!?" she speeds up walking to the door I sigh and put my hands up in defence and leave stuffing my hands in my pockets I look up at the sky and see those numbers this makes me stop and drop into a fatal position.
Numbers everywhere I hear steps and I get up covering my eyes and stumble away....I said I wouldn't do this again but I need to....I've never told anyone but this has happened before. At home I go into my room dig in my closet for awhile and find my stash that's when I light up a "cigarette" and go outside no one notices thank god! Calmness over floods me why haven't I done this before? I puff more into my lungs and just let it sit and slowly exhale it out This my friend is the start if something beautiful! I grin.
Links POV
I was worried about him......Last time I've seen him he was in a fatal position and when I tried to go see what was wrong he covered his eyes stumbling away from me. Sighing I sit in the grass outside of my house, its night out and the moon shined bright 'if only I had someone to share this moment with.....' I think of Zelda and me sitting her and my face reddens 'Link! she's like a sister to you' I plop onto my back and look at the stars.
'Look at the stars look how they shine for you' I shake that stupid song out of my head and think random shit in my head "hey......" I jump up and look in the direction where the noise came from and see nothing but shadows until bright red orbs come into view they're gaze on me. Out of instincts I jump up and the person chuckles "I'm not going to hurt you...not yet..." the person blinks and watches me still before I slowly sit back down. He just stands there silent still watching me before looking at the moon and he slowly lowers to the ground.
Silence is all that could be heard. I try to start a conversation, clearing my throat he looks at me "w-what's your name?" "I think you know who I am link..." 'Who dark link? his eyes were similar!' I sigh "Dark?" no he would've came and pissed me off. My eyes widen "Ben!" he looks at the lake and back at me "why are you here?!" I ask glaring at him. The red orbs from his eyes are gone and there's no sound I still keep my guard.
He grunts and I turn around and there he is hugging his knees by the lake he looks at me "Because Ben is getting lonely...." he smiles sadly and turns his attention back to the moonlit lake. I slowly and cautiously walk beside him his last warning still ringing in my ears. I sit putting my arm around him he hesitates before hugging me and sobbing into my chest.
One hour passes and he calms down slightly and I rub his shoulder he sits up and I removes my arm "what's wrong Ben?" he wipes his face and I noticed that he was wiping blood BLOOD! I make him look at me and his eyes widen and his cheeks turn red I realize what it seems like and I slowly let go awkwardly "sorry I thought you hurt yourself......" I trail off and look at the ground "I-I should go" he gets up "wait!" I grab his wrist and he stops "y-you haven't answered my question" I laugh nervously he laughs and wipes his eyes with his free hand "Maybe some day I can tell you..." and with that he's gone.
Why does he have to make things so difficult. Maybe he isn't a cold heartless bastard...I make a promise no matter how hard it would be to do it. "I promise I won't give up on you Ben" I smile and go inside.
