Chapter 3
Jocelyn (P.O.V)
"Welcome to St. Paul's Institute of Perfoming and Visual Arts ." I muttered under my breath. Walking into school with Selena was nerve racking. I mean I knew she was pretty and what not, but ALL the guys were staring at her. I just don't understand. Not even one of those guys ever gave me so much as a second glance. Though I guess I shouldn't care. I never have liked the attention.
We walked past the musicians practicing outside with there instruments. There were a few singers there too. Selena looked around with amazement in her eyes, I guess she had never been in a arts school before. "What do you think?" I asked. "Its amazing!" she exclaimed. "Okay...well I guess I should explain the basics. We have our musicians and vocalists. Then our writing and draing majors. Over there on the steps are the Digital photography and filmaking/tech majors.
The guitarists hang out by the bleachers. Cheerleaders and football players over on the field. Then there are the Modern Dance majors. The modern dance majors are sort of split into too groups though. The Ballet/Jazz dancers hang out in the field by the fence, and the Freestylers, is what we call them, hangout in the..."
Before I could finish my sentence Selena was off. The Freestylers were in a circle showing off as usual. I can't believe she ran off like that...Though she is my cousin and I guess I can't leave her alone. I decided to chase after her. When I got there Tyler was dancing in the circle and of course he was great like always. I hate to admit, but he was probably one of the best freestylers in our school. After he jumped out of the circle a girl I recognized to be Lily jumped in.
Tyler spotted us in a heartbeat and walked over. "Hey Selena! And Jocelyn." I rolled my eyes at him. "What I remembered this time." He smiled at Selena. "your hair! It's.... Hot." "Hey!" she said, "You never told me you are actually good at dancing!" She punched him on the shoulder. He laughed. " Well I don't like to brag..." I had to laugh at that. Tyler could often be slightly cocky. "Well let me tell you," Selena smirked "you ain't got nothin on me!" "Oh really? Well get in there then!" She handed me her backpack, then jumped in the circle and started dancing. She was good. Like really good.
I could see why guys thought she was hot. She was wearing a purple loose one shoulder top and jean short shorts. She topped it off with some sick purple converse. Heck if I were I guy I would probably think she was hot. Once she was finished, everybody cheered for her and circled around her. I handed Tyler her backpack. "Well, I'm out of here." "Okay well I'll catch you later then!" he walked over to Selena.
I decided to go look for my only friend, Ava. See, Ava and I aren't best friends. We didn't go shopping or hang out that much. She just was the only one I had at school. Someone to talk to in times of crisis. I eventually found Ava and asked her to come to the office to pick up Selena's schedule with me.
After picking it up, I went to look for Selena. I finally found her. She was flirting up a storm with Tyler. "Here's your schedule i'm sure Tyler won't mind showing you around." "Ya, not at all." he said casually. "Oh selena. This is Ava. Ava, Selena." I honestly didn't want to see Selena for the rest of the day. Unfortunately we have half our classes together.
Selena's Schedule:
1. Music History
2. Study Hall
3. Math
4. Health
Lunch
5. English
6. Modern Dance
I had 1, 5, and 6th with her and was definitley not happy about that. What made it worse was she had the same lunch as me. Ugh not only do I have to live with her I also have to spend half of school with her.....great, just great! I guess you could say i was a little mad from what happened earlier. The reason I don't do that kind of stuff is because i hate the attention. Since everyone will find out i'm her cousin it all goes back to me. Ya. I am not in the best moods right now.
