There it was.

The thing everyone was talking about. It was a boy, but not just any boy. He was a boy I wanted to get to know, a boy who intrigued me with just one glance. I walked over his way, through the crowd until I stood right in front of him. It looked like he needed a friend and honestly I did to, so I extended my hand making him step back a little, and then I softly said

 "Hi, i'm Faith"

scared of what he was going to say we stood there in silence, only for a second or two. He stared into my eyes and just as I was about to turn around and walk away he spoke, it was shaky but I detected a bit of an accent

 " Hello Faith, i'm Dylan"

I swear I smiled from ear to ear that day. I was glad that he told me his name.

"Well Dylan, do you need help with anything?"

he glanced at me as I looked to the ground slightly and the words barely left his mouth

" could you show me where the physics room is please?"

I swear my head went up so fast i nearly knocked myself off my feet.

"Sure, I can take you there on my way to social. But it looks like we have math together last period, maybe I can show you around town for a bit?"

once again we stood there in silence but this time I was watching him, eager to know his answer, a slight smirk grew on his face leaving small wrinkles under his left eye.

" that would be lovely, meet me by the front doors five minutes after the bell"

all I could think about was his adorable accent that forms butterflies in the pit of my stomach, by then we were about a quarter ways to his class and I hadn't even noticed we were walking then he looked over to me and smiled

 "thank you"

I blushed as I pushed a piece of long black wavy hair behind my ear.

"anytime" I said smiling back

 I stopped in my tracks,

"well here you are, ill see you at five after?"

 Dylan replies with "no later"

just as I attempted to finish his sentence we both at the same time said

 "no sooner"

I started laughing then so did he, even though I had just met Dylan, I felt like I knew so much about him, I couldn't wait until after school.

By now i'm waiting at the water fountain that is across the hall, counting down the seconds to make sure i'm not to early or late. Then the minute i see the clock hit 3:05 I walk over to the doors and I looked over to my side, with no surprise there was Dylan walking straight to the doors with me.

 "Hey" I said

"hello Faith, where abouts are we headed"

"I guess you will just have to wait and see"

I said with a smirk as I grabbed his hand in an attempt to make him follow me, then suddenly he stopped. He stared down at his case that I had just made him drop, he stared at it as if it was holding something, something that meant a lot to him. I walked over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder, he slightly flinched but other than that, he didn't make a sound or move.

"Are you OK? I'm so sorry"

I finally snapped him out of his coma like stare. He glanced up at me but the look was gone, now he looked blank and lost. We started walking around talking and telling each other a bit about ourselves, i'm glad we didn't go to the mall, walking around outside was way better.

" i'm 15 only child and I've lived here all my life" I exclaimed

" i'm 16 I have two brothers and one sister I live here with my mom and dad, we moved here a month ago, I used to live in Wales"

all I could think was how amazing his story was, we became best friends, we hung out every day, and we were basically inseparable. Until this one day when everything changed.
