I woke up the next morning sweating and shivering. Weird. Last night I had been woken up by ally's screaming from a "bad dream". She never screams from dreams. Never sleepwalks. Never sleep talks. Never sleep anything. So when she said that she was fine and didn't tell me the dream I knew something was wrong. I sighed as I climbed down my ladder that led to my loft. I walked into my bathroom to freshen up for the morning. After that I walked out of my room, and down the stairs. Ally was already gone on her morning run. I opened the fridge door and started to make my breakfast. After breakfast. I walked up stairs to my room. Today I didn't have any work. My boss insisted I take today off. Saying I worked really hard and deserved it. But I know he just hates my guts.

*******

Later on I heard the front door open.

Ally's home

I thought as I walked down the stairs to greet her.

"Hey"

I said.

"How was your run?"

I asked.

"The usual. I'm going to go change then go to work"

I sighed as I watched her walked up the stairs and to her room. She lies to me too much. I had work today too. After mom and dad went missing, I inherited the business, and the newspaper. Suddenly I heard a sound like a gunshot. I jumped and headed outside. There was a man wearing all black. He must have been six feet feet tall! He had a mask across his face, and held a shotgun. Beside him lay one, two three, fou... Oh my... I thought. There are eighteen people over there! Are the alright? There's some red liquid on... wait that's blood! Eighteen bodies covered in blood! They're not breathing... they're not breathing!!! I quickly dashed inside the house only to be horrified to see the man running at me!! I locked the door and ran as fast as my legs could carry me to the kitchen. "Where is it... where is it???!!!" I said to myself, while thinking rapidly. I remembered a secret trapdoor a few years back that me, mom, dad, and ally hid in, in a tornado. I pulled back the rug and saw a piece of floor that did not match the chestnut wood that covered the floor. I lifted it. Well, tried to lift it. I'm not strong. Suddenly I heard someone trying to get the door open. I hear two more gunshots and then silence. I wrestled the trapdoor open and slipped inside. Inside there was darkness. I felt my way around the room. I felt a light switch, and switched it on. When there was light to see by, I saw a huge room. It was not a pretty room filled with a king sized bed with a Jumbo sized big screen, but it did look like I could hide out here for a while, considering the rug(to sleep on) and the crates full of food. There were bottles of water too. "Hey! COME OUT OR I SHOOT! STOP HIDING!"

screamed a voice from above.

"AH-HA!! There you are! GET OUT FROM BEHIND THE COUCH!!!!! NOW!!!"

a few more gunshots. Then silence. rummaging and finally a triumphant

"AH-HAAA!!!"

I knew I needed to get out of there. Fast. Then I saw a tunnel. It would have been a tight squeeze, but I felt it was my only chance of escape considering the bangs and blasts over my head. A click of the door, and I was almost inside the tunnel. I jumped in, and squeezed. It was even tighter than I imagined!! As soon as I fit my entire body into the miniature hole, the ground changed. I was flying! No, falling! I was falling into a never ending hole! Well I like to think it's never ending, because it's not going to be very pretty when it does end. I was falling and screaming, and falling and screaming, until it happened. The so called never ending hole did end. And let me tell you, it was not pretty when it did.
