"You did well, please stop being like this" I sat next to my boyfriend of five years trying to comfort him, it was his last year of being able to play in the juniors and he didn't get gold. He looked at me and faked a smile, I hit him on the shoulder as he shrugged in pain

"Ouch that hurt, what the hell" I giggled as he rubbed his shoulder

"Stop being sad, I hate seeing you like this, I'm sorry you weren't able to get the gold but it's not like you didn't get a medal at all" I leaned on his shoulder and he began to whisper the lyrics to 'lean on me' by Bill Withers

'Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on'

I smirked and sang along with him, he kissed my forehead and held my hand.

"Dylan I'm sorry you weren't able to fulfill your dreams but you were still able to say Canada got silver, poor Russia probably beat their selves on the way back home just for winning the bronze so please don't go hard on yourself... I love you" he smiled and pecked my lips

"I love you more... also why aren't you a coach? You're like super motivational and know your shit" I shrugged my shoulders as he pulled me in for a hug.

"You know baby I love you so freaking much and you do so much for me, you know you bring me up when I'm in the slumps and I'm down and you're always there for me and I don't know what I'd do without you. I just want to spend the rest of my life with you" he pulled out a box from his pocket and I looked at him in disbelief

"I was gonna do this when we won and all of the families were out but obviously that didn't happen so Will you marry me?" I smiled and cried while also laughing at the same time

"Yes!" I screamed and engulfed him in a hug

"Can you never let go?" I asked as my face was buried in his shoulder

"I won't baby, you're mine forever now"
