The fact that tomorrow is Valentine's Day makes me puke...I take a drag on my cigarette and then a sip of beer while looking at all the faces of poor souls who just also found themselves at this bar at 10 o'clock on February 13th.

"Is this seat taken?" A man about 6'4" stood next to me as I shook my head, he took a seat and I smiled

"Thanks, so are you new here?" I nodded and laughed

"Yeah, kinda just gonna stay here until the Candy is 70% off" He chuckled

"So I'm taking you're single then?" His beer was in his hand and I nodded

"Yup, single as I'll ever be" taking a sip of beer I raised my hand for another one

"Well me too...Valentine's day is dumb especially when you're single" he was honestly a sweet guy

"I'm Martin...and you are?" He put his hand out for me to shake

"I'm Nikki, nice to meet you Martin" we shook hands and laughed.

"You look very familiar, aren't you the-"

"Goalie for the San Jose Sharks? Yes I am" his smile was gods creation, I couldn't help but notice his charm

After hours of talking he asked me out on a date, I automatically said yes because why not. The girl who thought she was going so find herself alone probably eating ice cream and pizza while lost to Twenty One Pilots has now found herself going out on a date. I guess my February 14th is going to be a good one.
