Once In A Lifetime

Chapter One

~Piper's POV~
She was in her cabin, watching one of her dad's new movies, when she suddenly was on Mount Olympus. The gods were sitting on their thrones. They had an amused look on their faces, like they were planning something. Well the were, but it wasn't any where near what they expected. The girls all looked, up at the gods curiously. Piper looked around and there were at least 15 people in the room. Some of the girls she had never met, and she had a feeling they were dead. The God's started to announce their plans. Zeus started to talk, "We have planned a beauty pageant, for you 18 girls. Now the program will be for us gods, and you demigods to watch, but a version will be shown on TV. So I want you girls to act like mortals. It will be called, Once In A Lifetime. So if your mortal parents question where you are, just tell them the name of the show. The show will last at least 2 weeks. Do you girls have any questions?"
Piper ran her fingers through her hair, being the cliche beautiful Aphrodite child was what she tried to avoid. So why were they going to make her be part of a beauty pageant. The worst part is mortals know her name, and she'd be associated with her father.
Piper looked around, wondering if anyone had any questions, she had some questions, but if anyone wanted to ask them first she'd let them. She noticed Annabeth's hand shoot up, and sighed in relief, "Where will this pageant take place? Do we have to participate? If we do, can we have guest come with us? Also do you know what our schedules will be like already?"
Zeus answer loudly, "You must participate, or face the wrath of the gods. It will take in multiple cities, but you girls will mostly be inside. Also yes, you may bring other demigods, with you, but no mortals. Another thing is the plane takes off at 2, so be ready. There will be prizes, in this contest."
Annabeth had a few more questions, "Will there be a library where we'll be staying? What do we need to pack? Lastly what types of prizes will be have to winners?"
Piper looked down at her phone, to see the time, ' 9:30 am.' They had 4 & 1/2 hours left. She then looked up at Zeus who looked annoyed with all of Annabeth's questions.
Zeus answered, "When packing you just want to pack things you want, all of your clothes will be provided. So anything to entertain yourselves. There will be a library where you girls will be staying, and it was designed and requested by Athena." He took a breathe and then addded, "Prizes are still secret, and you will learn more as time passses."
When they got back to Camp Half-Blood, Piper had only a few things she was going to take, or plan to take. A poster for one of her dad's movies, some eagle feathers, and a few ends and outs, including a credit card. She then took a few other things and only half way filled a suit case, out of her two suit case limit. She was about to be done packing, when Annabeth walked into her cabin, while pulling wagon, full of books. Piper didn't know why she was surprised but she was. Annabeth then said, "Do you have room in your suit cases?" Piper just nodded, knowing Annabeth would read these books pretty quickly.
She looked down at her phone again, it was noon. Once Annabeth had loaded her suit cases with books, she loaded them in one of the vans that would take them, to the airport. She then went to help any of the other girls who had suit cases pack. Everyone was loaded up in vans by 1 pm. Jason, Annabeth, Percy, and Reyna were in the van with Piper, so it was a pretty quiet ride. The loudest talking was Percy and Jason betting on how this would go down. She was talking to Reyna and Annabeth about how annoying it was when some of the girls were like, 'Your so lucky to be chose, I wish I was you.' Both Annabeth and Reyna agreed with her, and were quietly laughing at her impersonations.
It didn't take long for them to get to the airport, though. Tyson was actually a really fast driver, for only having one eye. They then noticed the time, and had to run, to catch the plane in time.
