Chapter 20 "The Day of Darkness"

Zane's POV
I awoke at 12:00 am. It was pitch black. I felt Kawaii~Chan's arms hugging me. Then I heard thunder. Except it was really loud. It was like a bullet shot through my head making a loud "BAM!" Then Kawaii~Chan snuggled closer to me in fear. I hung on to her as I closed my eyes...but the smell of smoke led toward me. Then I realized THE HOUSE WAS ON FIRE!!!! I grabbed Kawaii~Chan as I stumbled in fear she was scared she smelled the smoke too! "Kawaii~Chan you got to get out of the house NOW!!!" I yelled as I looked out the window. It was really high because we sleep on the 2nd floor so it was going to be hard to get out. I grabbed a chair from my desk and threw it out the window then I saw the whole crew rushing toward our home screaming in fear. Kawaii~Chan wept saying,"Zane~Senpai what about you?" I looked at her as a tear dropped from my eye. "Don't worry about me!" I said as I grabbed the sheets and said, "Grab onto the sheets!" She nodded and hung on as I gently pushed the sheets toward safety. I saw Aphmau crying and hugging Kawaii~Chan..."Zane!" Aphmau yelled. "Please say your alive!" She cried. I ran down the stairs hoping the front door was safe but sadly it was blocked by fire! "No!" I whispered to myself. I ran to the back door but it was also blocked by fire. I ran upstairs as the fire chased after me! "Zane~Senpai!" I heard Kawaii~Chan yell. Then the firefighters came...I slowly fainted the smoke made me filled with unease. Then I opened my eyes. I was sounded by fire...I knew I was still alive. The firefighters washed the fire out and I jumped out the window. I landed onto sheets. It was Kawaii~Chan who helped me up. I coughed, while everyone cheered. "K-Kawaii~Chan?" I wondered my eye vision was blurry and I felt a lot of cuts on me from throwing the chair out the window...a few class shards hit me...as Kawaii~Chan held me close I then realized I was at the hospital...everyone was there...even dad. "Zane? Are you okay?" Katelyn asked me I nodded then realizing lips were pressed against mine. I saw Kawaii~Chan kissing me making me ignore every single pain in my body. I kissed her back..."Kawaii~Chan are you okay? How is the baby?!" I asked. "I am fine, also the baby seems unharmed..." She answered while holding me close. I looked into her eyes and gave a weak smile. Then Aphmau walked into the room, looking at me, she paused and teared up..."Zane? Oh my! I...ZANE! I AM SO...ARE YOU OKAY?!" She started to say while sobbing Aaron was hugging her as she cried. I nodded holding out a hand. She grabbed my hand and held it. "I was so worried..." Aphmau added. I looked at her and said, "I am okay, I just wanted to make sure Kawaii~Chan was okay too...so I risked my life..." I teared up as Kawaii~Chan started to cry..."I thought I lost you!" She sobbed. I hugged her calming her down. "Zane~Senpai...please don't do that again!" She cried. Water was streaming off her cheeks as she looked into my eyes. "I-I did it because I love you!" I said as my voice cracked. Then I rubbed Kawaii~Chan's pregnant belly. She smiled. "I love you," she whispered. Everyone left the room giving us time alone. I looked at her and asked, "Is the house okay?" She shook her head in sorrow. "No, we have to live with Aphmau~Senpai..." She said as she looked at her hands. I nodded. "Where would the baby sleep and play?" I asked. She shrugged and said, "Aphmau~Senpai bought girly baby stuff for us replacing the old ones..." I looked at her and said, "We owe Aph now..." Kawaii~Chan nodded and stood up. "You need your rest...so I guess I have to go..." She waved goodbye and wiped her tears away. I nodded saying no word and laid my head down. I knew that it was going to take a while to heal.
