I can only believe what aunt Khausar and the chauffeur said when we arrive at the mansion. It is vast and enormous. I curiously peep out of the window at such absurd beauty. Our house would probably be smaller than the stables.

The chauffeur parks right in front of the entrance which is guarded by two securities. One of them opens the door for us. As I come out, I decide to say something to him. "Hi" I say smiling.

"Hello" he replies not looking at me. I want to say more but I leave it at that and I hurry after aunt. The interior of the house is extravagantly furnished with gold and velvet. A butler appears out of nowhere and motions for us to sit down. "Her ladyship will be arriving soon." He says.

At that moment I hear the sound of heels hitting the polished floor. A very good-looking woman around her middle forties elegantly walks in. She is of average height. Her eyelashes are long and her skin is flawless. She's dressed in a red robe with long flowing sleeves decorated with flower patterns, her hijab is black and her shoes are black velvet wedge heels. Every step she takes towards me is bold and confident. Flanked by maids in aprons and hijab.

When she is standing in front of me, I notice her large cat-like eyes and her full pouty lips.

"What is your name?" she asks in a silky voice. She is almost purring.

"Sultana. My name is Sultana"

I look up to meet her eyes. "Your house is very nice." I blurt out

She turns her gaze on me "well thank you sultana. You seem very learned and outspoken."

"Thank you." Then I add "I completed my education."

"What did you study?"

"I studied literature my lady" I say a little too quickly.her gaze feels like its burning a hole through me.

"Aisha take her to her room" she says to no one in particular, and then a smallish looking maid emerges behind her and stands beside me. "You can start tomorrow" she says without looking at me. I am suddenly aware of the fact that this might be the last time I see aunt. My legs feel weak and I think I'm going to cry. I reluctantly move towards aunt and give her a big hug. "Be good." She whispers. I cling to her like baby before I finally let go of her and follow Aisha to my future room and new life.
