The aftermath of Hydra's attack had taken its tole on shield, the Avengers most of all.
Though it had only been less then a day since the attack no one had really spoken to each other.

Tony and Bucky were the quietest out of everyone, they couldn't wrap their head around what they had seen.
Bucky wanted nothing more then just to leave the base and try and wrap his head around it, but Natasha wouldn't let him.
Not yet anyways.

Wanda had finally come back to her senses after it took more then 12 agents plus Natasha to pull her back.
Wanda was in a rather confused state of mind and had no memory of what had happened, Bucky in his confusion attempted to help Wanda.

He knew what she was going threw it was classic Hydra mind control, but something seemed different about Wanda's.
Now the Avengers sat around a table and attempted to talk about what had happened.
No one expect Bucky and Tony knew about Steve at this point as all the camera's were broken.

"Tony, James. Can you please tell us what happened." Natasha finally broke the silence that surrounded the table.
"I-I don't know how. How can he be /that/?! After everything we've been threw! How can he have been on their side now!" Bucky started saying softly and calmly before his voice became angrier and he slammed his metal fist on the table.

"James I'm sorry.. We need you to tell us what happened." Natasha said in her normal calm voice.
"He's alive.. Steve.." Tony began but struggled to get the words out.
"Steve Rogers? He's alive? How do you know this?" Thor said in a rather surprised yet happy tone.

"This is good news! Why do you both look so down then? Our fallen comrade has returned to us!" Thor said rather happily not understanding the situation that was going on.
"No! That's not him! He wouldn't do this to us. To me.." Bucky said almost yelling while holding his metal arm with his human arm.

"Tony or James one of you have to tell us what is going on. We do not understand." It was Vision that spoke this time his voice was soft and friendly, like a child's at time.
"Steve.. Steve is a Hydra Agent.. he always has been apparently.." Tony finally managed to say after a moment.
Everyone around the table gasped in shock and confusion.

All expect Bucky and Tony.
Bucky only seemed to become enraged by this statement.
"No! He's not! I've know him pretty much his whole life Stark! He's not Hydra! He's being controlled! Or it's not even him at all and it's a trick!" Bucky started yelling at Tony and then grabbed Tony's shirt with his metal hand.
"Don't you ever say that again Stark." Bucky said his voice clearly furious the statement.
"Listen Barnes! You think I want to say this! We both saw him with our own eyes!
He attacked us both! He's not the Steve that any of us knew!" Tony said back in a equally furious tone to Bucky.

If it wasn't for the fact that Thor and Natasha had pulled Bucky away from Tony at that moment, Tony would've  most likely have been thrown across the room by Bucky.
"Just shut up! You don't know what your talking about!" Bucky yelled at Tony as he was pulled off Tony.
"Get off me! I'm not some child you need to man handle!" Bucky yelled in anger towards Natasha.

Natasha just simply sighed and let go of him.
"I think you need a few days to rest. Preferably off Base it seems." Natasha said with a small sigh as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Couldn't agree more." Bucky said in a snarky tone of voice before storming off.
Everyone was left with a rather sad look on their face, they could tell the news was hitting Bucky harder then anyone.

Bucky had gathered some of his belongings and left the Base before anyone could have a chance to change his mind.
He went to his apartment... The one he once shared with Steve..
Steve.. huh. He had finally managed to allow himself move on from Steve's death, to try and do some good for once.
That's why he took up the Mantel in the first place.
As he arrived at the front door he wanted to do nothing more then punch the door, every emotion that had been swelling inside his head over the last day was coming to the surface.
He managed to get inside before he broke something other then his human hand from the fist he had his hand in.

He slammed the door shut accidentally and then slammed his head against the door.
"Stupid. Stupid." Bucky said with tears starting to fall down his face.
How could he be so stupid? How could he not tell! How did any of this happen?! None of it made sense to him.
How did that little punk he called his best friend back in the 1930's become this person who betrayed everything?
Bucky couldn't stop himself from thinking back to before the war and how steve use to be so skinny and defensive less.

The two of them grew to realise they loved each other the many years they spent together. They even talked about how they thought it was wrong but didn't care.
They loved each other no matter what anyone said.
They fought threw so many things over the years.
Bullies from the school yard to assholes on the street.
Then the war.
"God why did he have to be so stubborn sometimes?" Bucky said aloud thinking back to when Steve had so desperately wanted to be in the army and Serve just like him.
Bucky was always so happy when Steve was rejected.
Even though he couldn't be in the action he would be safe at least.
That's all the mattered to Bucky.
But never in a million years did he expect Steve to sign up for some stupid Super Solider task force.

When he was saved by Steve that first time, Bucky knew nothing would ever be
The same again.
But Bucky couldn't have cared less. Because all he cared about was the fact he now had to worry a little less about the boy he loved.
He had always loved Steve he knew this for sure. That was one thing Hydra could never take away from him.
"What happened to you.. why are you like this now?!" Bucky yelled in a voice that was full of pain tears now streaming down his face. Everything he had held in had finally come to the surface and there was no stopping it.
"Buck.. I'm sorry.." a voice suddenly said from behind Bucky, it was Steve.

Steve was wearing his hydra suit, but had a small sad smile on his face.
"Steve?!" Bucky said in surprise, hoping it wasn't his mind playing tricks on him this time.
"Heya Bucky." Steve said with a friendly smile.
"I know I'm probably the last person you want to see right now...-" Steve was cut off by Bucky tackling him into a hug.
"Just shut up for a moment and let me enjoy the fact you are actually Alive you Idiot." Bucky said squeezing Steve tightly.
"I missed you to James." Steve said with a sad smile as he kissed the top of Bucky's head.
They stayed like this for what felt like forever for both of them, not wanting to move because they knew what was next was only going to hurt them both.

I hope you all enjoy part 3.
