Fight for love

Chap 1

A Wattpad friend of mine asked me to do an one shot about Miwa x Kai with Ren x Kai but I decided to make it a full story. This person didn't want her/his name on the story so I can't tell you who gave me this idea but I really hope you will all like it!

A new beautiful day to explore the world. A happy day for everyone. Well, except for one. That person is Ren Suzugamori. Every day is like any other day. He wakes up from a night of slumber with a terrible ache in his heart. An ache from missing love. His love is Toshiki Kai. The love of his life. Every day he has to fight for him. You see, there is another man on this earth who want the heart of the same person. That person is Taishi Miwa. But the redhead won't give up. He has loved the brunette for a very long time. Ever since they met in their old school.

Ren sighed but smiled again. Sulking about it won't help him. He has to take matter into his own hands. And that is just what he is going to do today. He is going to visit card capital, drag Kai away from there even if he is in the middle of a fight.

With this in mind, Ren stomped off to card capital.

In the shop, Kai had just won his fifth fight for the day but something about his new deck construction seemed of. He wanted it to fit his new Dragonic Overlord but he couldn't really get it right.

He sighed and took a seat at one of the tables to rearrange his deck for the sixth time. He was just about to start working on his deck when the loudest most annoying voice he have heard in his entire life – no, that voice belongs to Morikawa but still really annoying for coming this early in the morning. That voice belong to – Ren? What?

''What are you doing here Ren?''

''Ehh so mean of you Kai! I wanted to see you, is that too much to ask?'' the redhead pouted. ''That reminds me..'' he began but cut himself short by grabbing the teen's hand and pull him up from the table to drag him out of the shop.

''What are you doing?!'' The dragged teen half said half yelled.

''Taking you out on a walk, that's what we are doing!'' Ren said happily.

''I'm not a dog you know.'' Kai mumbled but let himself be dragged away by the redhead.

A few minutes later, a certain blonde entered the shop and searched for his friend.

''Has Kai been here?'' he asked. Misaki nodded.

''Yeah but you just missed him. Ren came here and dragged him away. I don't know where they headed though.'' She said without breaking her concentration from the book. Miwa felt his blood boil. Ren Suzugamori – his eternal love rival – had been here, huh?

''Are you going to drag me forever?'' Kai asked his friend annoyed. It has been a good twenty minutes since the two left the shop and Ren hadn't yet released his arm.

''Not yet. You need to have more patient Kai~'' Ren replied and smiled.

Kai huffed. ''Whatever.''

A little while later they came to a café. Ren invited Kai who was extremely annoyed by the whole thing. They took a set at the windows and ordered.

''You brought me all the way here for just a cake?'' The brunette asked.

''Not exactly. There is one thing I wanted to ask you.'' Ren said.

''Well, I'm all ears.''

''Have you heard about the Vanguard tag team championship?''

''Vanguard tag team championship?''

''Yeah. You team up with a vanguard fighter and you fight together against other fighters. You can say it's like your and Aichi's fight against Ibuki only that your opponents are also two.''

''Sounds cool.''

''So my question is-'' Ren said and stood up from his chair and looked gaze with the brunette. ''Toshiki Kai do you want to be my partner?'' The other costumers looked at the two young teens and awaited the brown haired boy's answer. Kai looked around the shop and watched the others faces. They all had the same look.

''Don't take this the wrong way!'' He yelled annoyed making the other costumers depressed and turned back to their own business. Kai sighed once again and turned back to his friend.

''Don't you want to team up with Asaka or Tetsu? I mean they are your teammates, aren't they? Why me?''

Ren pouted. ''You are my teammate too Kai~ I want to fight alongside you dummy.''

''Alright. Let's do this Ren.'' Kai said and the two of them shook hands and then after a more some vanguard fights and team talking, they separated and headed their ways.

Miwa suddenly got a scary shiver down his spine and he didn't like it.

''Are you alright Miwa?'' Misaki asked while eying him. Miwa grinned and shook it off.

''I'm alright, it's nothing. Don't worry.''

Misaki just shook her head and went back to herbook.

''I really don't like this feeling... Something must be going on and I'm pretty sure I won't like it'' Miwa thought just as the door to Card Capital opened. He turned around and saw Kai entering. The awful feeling forgotten, he ran up to his best friend.

''Hey Kai! Where have you been?''

''I've been with Ren. We have been planning on how to fight in the upcoming vanguard championship.''

''Oh so you have heard about it then?'' Misaki asked who caught their conversation.

''Yeah Ren just told me about it. We decided to team up.''

Miwa snapped. REN asked KAI to be his PARTNER??    

''Hey Misaki. You didn't get my deck when Ren dragged me away did you?'' Kai asked. Misaki looked up from the book and pointed on the counter. ''I placed it there.''

''Thanks.'' Kai mumbled awkwardly and grabbed his deck. He left the shop and Misaki bade him come back soon and returned to the book for the third time that day.

''Misaki what do I do??!'' Miwa suddenly yelled and ran up to the desk.

''Do about what?'' she asked annoyed for being interrupted from her book once again.

''Don't give me that! Kai and Ren are teaming up for the next vanguard tournament? What do I do??''

''You can always fight with me.''

Miwa fell towards the floor and cried. ''You don't get it do you?'' he whined.

''Don't lie on the floor! Get up your ass!'' Misaki yelled.

''But Misaki!! I'm dying here!''

''I don't care! Now get out! It's closing time!''
