Hi. I'm Luna and I'm as ordinary as can be. You might think that that's a weird thing to say and that this means that in my story I become 'different' but no even if I looked back on this in a hundred years I could confidently say I'm completely and utterly ordinary and nothing 'strange' changed about me.

Now when I say 'strange' I mean magical. Okay that definitely makes me sound crazy but hear me out. Here's my story of just how ordinary I am.

So there is one thing about me that makes me different to others and it's that my parents are two of the most powerful and famous witches and wizards of all time.
Let me explain by giving you a little history lesson on my life.

I'm the fourth and last child of Arthur and Rowena Praecantatio (which literally translates to sorcery or witchcraft in Latin).

I have three older siblings, two brothers and a sister. We all have Latin names but our parents also gave us a middle name and these names were 'normal' names so if we ever went to the human realm we'd have an alias to go by. You might think that's overkill and too well thought out but most non humans visit the human realm at least twice in their lives some more and for me almost half of my life.

My eldest brother is called Callidus, which translates to cunning. His middle name is Callum and if you think that it has no meaning you're right. You see my parents were still new to the way humans named their children at the time and they didn't know what was appropriate, they heard the name Callum somewhere and thought it sounded a bit like Callidus and decided to go with it.

Next is my sister Solis, which translates to sun. Her human name is Stella. Now this name does have meaning. As in Latin Stella can translate to star so it is still bright and full of light. It can also be translated as sun, so in away she has the same name but in a form that humans would accept and believe to be 'normal'.

Having the name Solis, sun, makes her my opposite as I'm am Luna, moon, however we are not dimidiums (I'll explain that later). Opposites are stronger in the world of power. Having abilities that completely differ from one another means that when combined they are stronger and more powerful than ever.

To explain it further. Our names determine our powers, abilities and personalities. So in our world, or rather my families, your name is more than just your identity, it is who you are and so much more. For example being called Callidus means that my brother is very cunning and sly. If you are not called this or something similar your abilities in this area are far more limited than his. Also as my sister is called Solis she is much more powerful whilst the sun is out and weaker at night.

Okay now I'm getting off topic, this story was supposed to be for later. Now where was I? Ah yes.

Next is my brother Incaendium, which translates to wildfire. In the human realm he takes the alias Blaze as it can also represent fire but is a name humans have.

As I have accidentally let it slip, I might as well just explain what being called Incaendium does to my brother. He behaves in a way you could say fire does. He's reckless and acts on his first instincts. But having a name of this sort doesn't mean that he is just rash and doesn't have skill. For example in battle you need to act on you're instincts so going with your gut can be a great thing to do and can be an essential part to a good strategy.

Okay you're probably thinking why would your parents name you that, well you see they didn't actually get to choose, they do choose your human name but not your first name. There is a ritual that each child takes exactly one week after birth and it is this ritual that determines where your strength and weakness lie and therefore what you are called.

Now my name, as you know, is Luna, translating to moon in Latin, but you're probably more curious about my middle name. It's Krystal. And I'm sure your wondering why. Well you see to my parents the moon is nothing but a glimmer to the universe and they think it can be represented by a crystal. So that's why it's my name but they used a 'k' as they, and I quote, 'just liked it better'.
