It was the same old same old. I got up, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, washed my face and threw on this:http://www.polyvore.com/untitled/set?id=111763875 " some background on me is that I am 22, I moved to Chicago when I was 21. I left everything I had back in Michigan to come here. I don't have any friends. The only poeple I really talk to are people at my work. I don;t have a boyfriend and I plan to keep it that way. Another thing about me is that I love hockey, but i don;t watch it on t.v. so I don;t know who plays for the Chiacgo blackhawks.
As soon as i stepped outside to go to work i felt the cold air hit my face making my cheeks sting. Welcome to winter in Chicago. I was just passing the water tower, almost to the doctor's office where I am a receptionist at. I was almost there when I suddenly ran into someone. I almsot fell but I caught myself. i looked up at the person I ran into.
"I am so sorry" I said looking up to see the person I ran into. I looked right at him. I looked right into his eyes and instantly felt my heart start to beat faster. His eyes were breathtaking. There were big and brown. I instantly looked down not wanting to stare at him any loonger and walked away before he could say anything.
I fianlly arrived at work and got right down to it. I took probably over 200 calls, writing down appointments, getting names and what was wrong. This was a normal day for me.
"Hey Alyse, anything exciting happen today?" Anna asked. She was the only person I was really close too. She was one of the nurses and she talked to me the most.
"Not really. Ran into the500th person today." I said, making us both laugh. I run into people all the time because I usually look down when i walk and they just don;t see me half the time.
"You really got to look up."
"I try but it is weird for me." I said. I was always really shy so I would always walk with my head down and it just became a habit that I was never able to break.
"Whatever you say." she said before walking away. I finsihed up a couple last things with people files, I got so sidetracked that I didn't realize i was the only left until i looked up from my computer. I wiped down all the desks, vacumed a littee, put things away and turned off the lights before I started my walk home.
It was really late at night when I was walking home and not alot of people were out because it was so cold. I was walking right past the water tower when I felt something nudge my leg. I stopped dead in my tracks and looked down afarid of what it was. i looked down and saw it was dog. I bent down and petted it. It came closer and licked me on the hand. I noticed that it had no collar or leash and that it looked really skinny and cold. It was shaking. I picked him up and unzipped my coat a little bit and put him in there to keep him warm. His head stuck out and I zipped it up more so him and I could be more warm. I just started to take back off down the street when I passed a resturant right where I found the dog. I looked through the window and saw that the guy I ran into was looking at me. i quickly turned my head to see who was with him and it was a table full of boys. I started to pick up my pace. As i was getting closer to my apartment I realized that I had nothing for the dog. so I stopped at the closest walgreens and got it a collar, ;eash, toys, food and food bowl. I checked out and made my way back to my apartment. I walked in and instanlty locked the door behind me. i took off my uggs, coat, gloves and hat and laid them on my couch. I then put all the dof stuff where it belonged and grabbed the dog. I took a shower and the dog took one with me. After I got out I put on my Pj's:http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=111811864. After I was comfortable I went and grabbed the dog, well my dog now. I held it up s our faces were face to face.
"Well hello there handsome" I said to it, it titleted its head and its eyes grew bigger. I figured out it was a boy. 'I am going to name you bandit." As soon as I said Bandit it barked the cutest, littlest, bark and i took it as a yes. It had black spots around his eyes and t seemed to be a shiz-u-maltese."Well it is time for bed buddy." I said holding him proper now and walking him to my room and setting him on my bed. I got in and he instanlty came and snuggled right in next to me. Before I could fall alseep, I kept seeing images of the guys eyes and I fell asleep to the image of his face and those eyes.
