2 weeks later

Monica sat in the shower letting the water run over her head . She hugged her body tightly . The tears couldnt stop escaping her eyes. She examined her body, she had purple bruises all over her body . The tears started coming down harder. She wiped her tears then turned the water off .
"Tommrow" she thought to herself . She already packed 3 bags and put them in the guest room closet . She decided to leave once David went to work at 10 am .
It is now 11 am . She decided to get dressed and do her make up . She wanted to go see her father before she picked up and left .

She drove herself to the California State Prison . Every time she stepped into that prison , she felt violated .

Once she walked into the visiting room she seen her father with the same smile that she missed for months . She wanted to leap over the table and hug him but she knew doing that will probably get her kicked out.
"Baby girl i got your letter "

"Yeah " Monica said looking down while fumbling with her fingers .

"Why do you have to leave ? I can get him handled . " Darren said balling up his fist .

"Daddy no . Im going to leave , i need a fresh start .. i dont want no weight hanging over my shoulders anymore , IF he comes looking for me then maybe but not now ".

"Okay . Fine ." Darren said looking disturbed . "I have good news though "

Monica raised her eye brow in curiosity .

"I have 1 year left . They letting me out early for good behavior " Darren said .

"WOW DADDY REALLY ?!"

"Yep"

"Oh my gosh i cant wait . I just hope that youll do good and stay out of trouble ." Monica said then scolded her father.

"How about this when i get out of here ill move next to you ?" He said then chuckeled

"Yes dad!" She smiled

Thwy talked for 20 more minutes just catching up .

"UM TIME IS UP ! HEAD TO THE DOORS TO EXIT PLEASE" The officer said .

Monica got sad all over again. She said her goodbyes then left . She knew that she wont be able to see her father every month any more . She is going to make sure to contact him every other day and to come see him every 4 months. Which means that the third time he will be leaving with her .

Once she walked in the house she felt anxiety . She couldnt wait to leave .
She was going to miss California , but she had to leave .. for her sake .

THE NEXT DAY
She woke up at 9 .. she made sure to make David something to eat , just to gass him up a little bit .
She smiled to herself .
Monica decided to leave beverly hills today and go to a hotel for one night cause her flight does not leave today , but it does leave the next day.

She made david pancakes eggs and sausage .
Once 10 hit he left . Monica hurridly got dressed and called the cab that arrived at 10:35 .

She smiled once she closed the trunk to the cab . She made sure to leave her phone.. she did not want to be found by him .

Before she went anywhere she went to the chase bank in crenshaw. Now she knew that Crenshaw was risky but what elae do she got to lose ??

She handed the bank her money then they put the money onto her card. She left then went to her room to get some rest .
All she could think about was David running around like a chicken with its head chopped off.
