Chapter 7

Sunlight's POV

I stand up out my seat and run out the door and open my eyes to the most amazing thing on earth there are big skyscrapers everywhere and people moving about on little jets in the air and the people themselves are just exquisite there are no two people alike everysingle person is different. Some have pink skin with blue hair and purple eyes. Others have green skin and orange hair with lumious yellow eyes. I feel someone tap my shoulder and turn round to see Lydia our escort who fits right in with everyone else looking very cross,'' Sunshine!!'' She says through a smile.

'' Ehh, it's Sunlight...''

'' Whatever, don't look so glum please in Panem's name please at least pretend to smile!''

I can't stand her but to shut her up put on a winning smile and walk over to Kovo and Zarria already smiling away at the Capitol Camera Men.

Once we've had our few minutes of stardom some weird looking guards take us to a weird long jet thing and shoves us in.

It's about 5 minutes before the doors open again and the sunlight streams in. Huh that's ironic! Anyway the guards pull us again across a busy street and into a large grand building.

We are taken into a lobby and told to make ourselves at home. It doesn't take long for pair after pair to start streaming in and everyone starts talking.

Immediately the tributes from 2 and 4 come over to Kovu and myself. They are expected to be our allies in the arena we would be called the careers. I really don't want to be a career and I'm pretty sure niether does Kovu but if we refuse we will be embarrasments to One.

The guy from Two whose name I can't remember looks us up and down for a minute.

He comes up close to me and says,'' I like what I see!'' He kisses me and I pull away and slap him right across the face and storm off. The last thing I see is him saying,'' Fiesty aswell.'' Laugh and then Kovu knock him out.

I storm into a new corridor and run into someone. I start to apologise when I look up at the person I ran into. His eyes are chocolate brown with specks of blue and green everywhere. He is muscly and tall (he looks like he would give an amazing cuddle. He had floppy honey coloured hair and soft looking lips.

" Hi..... So sorry I didn't mean to....." I stammer clumsily.

" No problem, it was mostly my fault! Anyway are you Sunlight the tribute from One?"

" That's me!!"

" Good even prettier in person! I'm Riven your stylist."

" Oh cool, I was wondering where I go now....."

" Follow me, come and meet your prep team!"

He lends me his arm and I follow him. We walk through about 5 million corridors before we get to a blue door marked One-Female.

Riven opens the door and motions for me to walk forward I wander in and see 3 timid looking top of the range Capitol workers 2 guys and one woman.

" Hello I'm Sunlight your project to work on!"

The woman who I later find out is called Lexia leads me to a metal like seat and starts playing with my hair and applying special lotions on. At the same time the 1st guy Mareis starts on my leg hair. Every two seconds I feel a hard sore tugging on my leg and let out a short squeal of pain and Riven's over in a shot checking I'm ok. It's actually really strange because he must only be about 17 and already working for the games.

Every time I tell him it's ok but still comes nevertheless. Once Lexia and Mareis are done with me the last guy named Felix starts to work on my face he firstly starts with some cream for my fave that make all the blackheads and rough skin leave then applies some mascara that when I blink goes from silver to gold. Next he applies glitter to the side of my eyes and then adds blush. At last he puts on a soft pinky red lipgloss.

Once my team are done with me they hand me to Riven and he takes me through to a room with a large bag hanging on the wall he quietly unzips it and produces an amazing long ball gown made with tiny shards of glass that gives the effect of a diamond. When he moves it to bring it towards me it suddenly shimmers a gold blinding colour, the colour of sunlight!

I let out a huge squeal and jump onto Riven and give him the biggest hug imaginable.

" Thank you so much Riven it's amazing!!!"

" No probs Gorgeous quick get it on and these!" he says handing me a pair of killer heels

I grab the dress and shoes and swiftly get ready.

Once I'm ready I walk out of the room to find kovu standing waiting in a similar smart outfit he takes my arm and leads us to a big hall with 12 chariots waiting and another 10 tributes waiting too all looking very amazing except the guys from ten whom are dressed as cows!

The boy from 2 comes over to us with a black eye cleverly covered with makeup and says" Hi Sunlight sorry for the way I acted earlier maybe we can start fresh?"

" Yeh, maybe.." I say," If I was in a good mood but guess what Im not so bye bye!"

He looks astonished and angry. I feel good so I make it even better I turn away from him grab Kovu and get up on our chariot and shout," Hello, can everyone please hurry up I have a schedule!!!!"
