Chapter 3: Date

We wake up the next morning and I get dressed for the day. I hear Claire come in the house and I thank her for the clothes.

"It's no trouble." She says and smiles.

"Once everyone's dressed we can all head out for breakfast." Toby said.

"Yeah, that sounds good."

We all get dressed and get into Toby's car. Claire and him sit in the front while Mark and I sit in the back.

"So, Claire, I was wondering if at the restaurant I could get your number and a selfie from you? Maybe even a follow on twitter and Instagram?"

"Yeah, sure no problem." Claire replies.

We continue driving down the road.

"What restaurant are we going to?" Mark asks.

"Just a little corner shop one. They have really tasty deserts." Says Toby.

"We aren't here to eat desert Toby." Claire says.

"I know." Toby replies.

We finally reach the restaurant and as I reach for my buckle, Mark's hand touches mine and I blush some more. We both smile.

Before we get into the store, we see a lady's purse get snagged.

"Oh shit!" Toby exclaims.

Then my purse gets taken.

"NO!" I yell.

"Come on Mark, let's go get those purses back!" Toby tells Mark.

They both run off and we watch from a distance.

"What do we do Claire?!"

"Just wait. It'll be ok." Claire reassures me.

We still wait for them so she follows me on Twitter and Instagram.

"Selfie time?"

"Sure."

I reach for my pocket. Then the other pockets.

"Shit, I must've left them in my purse."

Then Mark and Toby come back.

"Here you go Miss." Toby says as he hands the purse to the lady.

"Sorry Meghan, we couldn't get your purse back." Mark says.

"*sighs* It's ok."

"Here, what was in your purse?" Asks Claire.

"My phone, lipstick, my keys, and my wallet."

"Tell you what. If you go out to dinner with me tonight, I'll buy you a new phone, purse, lipstick, and a wallet?" Says Mark.

"And what about my keys?"

"That too. Deal?" Mark says grinning.

"Ha, ha, ha... Wait you're serious. Oh."

"Well?" Asks Mark.

"Ok, fine." I blush and smile.

"Looks like it's a date." Mark says and smiles.

"Ok, let's head inside." Claire says.

We go inside the shop and get egg sandwiches and something to drink. I get an iced coffee and Claire gets a tea. Mark and Toby just get regular coffee.

Then I realized all of the numbers and contacts weren't saved.

"Oh no!"

"What is it?" Toby asks.
