We got put on a team project together, we all introduced ourselves, you said hello and I gave a friendly hey back.
When you said my name, my heart froze a bit. It didn't sound warm like when my parents say it, nor did it feel friendly like when my friends say it, nor strictly professional like when adults say it, it was normal, it just sounded like when someone in the hallways asks me for a pencil and yet my heart did an extra beat.
