My name is Brittney and my Band is trying to get the gig opening for One Republic or Papa Roach, I looked back at the band Made up of mostly guys and one girl that was on bass. I play the keyboard and Drums, Reylynn Plays bass and backup vocals, Zander is the lead guitarst and brother of the one and only Ryan Tedder. and then there was Grant who plays Drums also, I laughed walking by Zander who telling me about something that happend to his brother. Taking a sip of my coffee I nuged Zander letting him know papa Roach was heading into the place where they was having the contest for the gigs.
"I hope you won't freeze" Zander said.
"Think Tedder just what I needed" I said smacking him.
I watched him run back to tell the others that there was guest. I chuckled turning around hearing some one call my name. I got a huge smile on my face seeing Ryan.
"RYAN!" I laughed hugging him.
"Brittney, How have you been?" Ryan asked,
"Been good you're brother on the other hand is talking about having a kid" I laughed,
"Zander always talks none since" Ryan laughed,
"How's things with the wife?" I asked,
"Rocky she's been sleeping with some dude next door" Ryan said,
"I'm sorry Ry," I said,
"Shit happens," Ryan smiled,
I sighed hearing my phone I handed Ryan my coffee, I looked at the ID seeing it was my Mom she never called Unless a death happend.
"Whoa mom slow down, What happend?" I asked,
"It's You're friend Lana" Layla said,
"What happend? and where is she?" I asked,
"I am sorry Princess Lana was involved in a bad car crash" Layal said.
"MOM! WHERE IS SHE?" I asked felling the tears.
"Britt please come home when you can" Layla said ending the call
I droped the phone on the ground in shock felling Ryan pulling me againt him in a hug. I buried my head in his chest braking down. He sat the coffee down wrapping both his arms around me.
"What happend?" Ryan whispered,
"Lana is dead" I cried,
"Damn, I am sorry babe" Ryan said.
I wiped my eyes leaning againt Ryan who had his arm around me, I was about to lose it at any moment I walked into the place seeing Zander and the others looking at me, I walked to the bathroom shuting the door I looked in the mirror my make up was a mess, I scramed punching the Mirror.
"What the hell was that?" Tobin said,
"Sounds like she is having anger troubles" Tony said,
"No she lost her best friend" Ryan said,
He put the coffee down walking over to the bathroom opening the door walking in. He shut it grabbing the bandages after taking the glass out of my hand, I looked at him putting my hand over his since he had it on the side of my head.
"It's going to be ok" Ryan said,
"I can't do this Ry, Not now" I said,
"Yes you can Baby, Just take that hurt and use it when you sing" Ryan said kissing my head.
I sighed fixing my hair and make up again I walked towards the stage. I just wanted to hit something again I felt like I was losing my mind.
"Whoa who pissed her off" Kassie laughed,
"Shut up Kassie! no one her best friend died" Ryan said
I threw the not pad at Kassie walking outside screaming. Yes screaming was letting me get every thing out, I felt an arm around my shoulders seeing that it was Jacoby.
"It's going to be ok, Just do what Ryan said take that hurt and use it in the music" Coby said hugging me.
"Why today? of all days." I sighed
"Shit happens" Coby said,
I sighed waling over to my car unlocking it getting my guitar out, yes I played the guitar too not many people knew, I grabbed the pills looking at them stuffing them in my pocket they was for when i get really stressed. I shut the door locking it walking up onto the stage. I walked over to Zander looking at him looking at the songs we was doing.
"Can we swap out Burn for To be loved and Do it like this for Counting Star?" I asked,
"Yeah we can do that but Kassie hasn't praticed them songs" Zander said,
"Shit, do you know what songs she has" I said,
"Scars and Last Resort" Zander said,
"We haven't did them songs since it was just you and me" I said,
"True, What songs should we do" Zander asked,
"Why are they the only one talking about the set list?" Tobin asked,
"They both formed the band" Ryan smiled,
"What's the name of there band?" Jacoby asked,
"Dark Angels" Ryan chuckled,
"Nice name" Matt laughed,
I sighed hitting my hand on the stoll trying to figure out what songs to do, I ran over to my bag getting the book out tossing it to Zander.
"What about something like Never again or S.E.X" I said,
"Hello I don't know them songs" Kassie said,
"Good lord how could you not know any Nickleback song?" I said,
"Because that group sucks" Kassie smirked,
"Take that back" I said
"Never" Kassie said
"You're going to regret saying that oh and Zander she cheating on you" I smirked walking off the stage.
I walked outside seeing Ryan on his phone I walked over leaning againt the post looking at him. He smiled pulling me into him with his arm around my shoulder, I smiled watching him put his cell away I wrapped my arms around him in a hug felling him bury his head in my neck felling his tears wetting my shirt, I kissed his head rubbing his back it was a bad day for both of us.
"You ok boo?" I asked,
"No, My wife is taking me to court" Ryan said
"I'm sorry, Do you wan't me there with you?" I asked
"Please" Ryan said,
I ran my nails up and down his back seeing Kassie and Zander trying to pull her back inside.
"Let them be they both are having bad days" Zander said,
"What if she starts dating him" Kassie asked,
"I would be happy for them, Them two know what calms the other down" Zander said,
"Really hes the only one?" Kassie laughed,
"Yes really, leave them alone" Zander said.
"i DON'T BUY HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN CALM HER DOWN" Kassie hissed,
"Fine but if you get between them Britt will knock you're block off for messing with Ryan" Zander said,
I watched Ryan picking at his food, I reached over placing my hand on his letting him know it was going to be ok. Ryan was the Sweetest man I knew I loved his smile and laugh, I took a sip of my water pulling a pen out watching Ryan come over and sit my me. I opended it up to an empty page trying to think of a new song.
