Chapter 19

Chelsey's POV

"So, here's what you do when she comes back. You take her out to do something fun, don't do the normal movie and dinner thing. She's not like that" I said.

Harry and I are currently planning his date with Makenna.

"What if I took her laser tagging?" Harry asked.

"That's brilliant!" I said.

My door opened to reveal my parents. "Well Chels, we are leaving now" my mom said.

I got off my bed and walked over to my parents, we all had a group hug.

"drive safe, I love you guys" I said.

"Love you too, we will see you at graduation" my mom said.

They turned and left. "Well that was weird and short" i said.

"Maybe they wanted to be away from you" Niall said giving me a wink.

I stuck my tongue out at him, I went and sat back on my bed.

"So, how much longer until Makenna comes back" Niall asked.

I looked at my clock "she should be here any minute" I said.

As if on cue the door opened and Makenna walked back in.

"Well that was strange" Niall said.

"MAKENNA" Harry and I yelled.

We both ran up to her giving her a hug.

"Hey guys" she laughed.

Harry looked at me and I nodded.

"Hey Makenna, do you maybe want to go with me on a date?" Harry asked.

"Of course, when?"

"Tomorrow" he said.

Makenna nodded, A wave of relief washed over Harry's face. We moved so Makenna could put her stuff away.

All three of us sat around waiting for her to finish.

"Maknna, want to go for a walk?" I asked.

She nodded, I stood up and slipped on my white converse.

We walked out of the building, the sun was starting to set but it was really warm.

"How was the US?"

"It was good, everyone misses you though. Everyone would ask about you" she said.

"Yeah well if they really missed me then they would have at least emailed me"

We got further away from the buildings, we walked into the field. There was no one around, it was quiet. we walked in that peaceful silence where we just enjoyed being around each other.

That silence got cut off by screams, loud screams too.

"What's going on?" Makenna asked.

"I'm not sure"

We headed closer to the sounds, there was a loud bang. It was a gun shot.

Makenna and I started to run back to the field, there was a group of people far away from us.

There was one shot and Makenna fell down, pulling me with her.

I looked at my best friend, I was horrified.

She got shot in the lungs, she was going to die. I didn't say anything to her, I dragged her to a corner that was close to the front of the school.
