1% || flashback

flashback // katie's point of view
i was on my way to the small venue where my favorite band "Twenty One Pilots" was playing. it was around 3:30 and the show didn't start until 7. i always got there early, i'd do anything for those boys. this may sound like a over exaggeration but they have saved my life. i got the chance to meet them a few weeks ago at this same venue. i'm hoping i can talk to them again.

-time skip-

the show was finally over and i was staying after to pick up some confetti from trees. i felt a hand tap me on the shoulder, i turned around quickly. there stood josh smiling at me. i was speechless. he stood there smiling.
"hey katie! i met you at our last show!" he said.
i nearly fainted... "yup that's me!" i said blushing.
"i really wanted to talk to you again and invite you to maybe go get something to eat?" he asked shyly.
"of course i would, but why me? i'm just a fan." i said.
"because your so easy to talk to and you don't treat me like a famous person." he said scratching the back of his neck. "is that a good enough reason katie?" he chuckled
"i was just curious." i said chuckling.
"okay well how's tomorrow? i have to stay and help clean up." he said.
"uh sure, we could meet there" i responded.
"yeah that sounds good. i'll see you tomorrow then." he said.
"okay. bye josh!" i gave him a hug and started to walk away.

-time skip to home-

i reached into my back pocket for my ticket to hang on my wall with the rest. a small slip of paper fell out with it. i reached down and picked it up.

"i was too nervous to give you my number last time and this time so here it is (': xxx-xxx-xxxx -j.d."
i smiled to myself. tomorrow was going to be a good day.
