✥Chapter Three✥
"Rule one." Zayne declared, standing from his chair. "You will obey and listen to everything I say."
I nodded. That was expected. I don't remember much from last night but I do know that Zayne saved me from rape, so it couldn't be that bad.
"Rule two." He stuck two fingers in the air. "You won't talk to any other men whatsoever unless you have my permission specifically."
"Rule three, if a man other than me touches you, you will let me know immediately. If I find you willingly touching another man I will gut him quite literally while forcing you to watch."
I gulped. Okay, that was a bit drastic.
"Rule four, you will be by my side where I want and when I want." He stopped, peering at me for a moment.
"Three things you should know." He stroked his chin. "You are not a maid, expect to witness a lot of death, and finally any breaking of these rules will result in punishment."
I nodded briskly, my breath catching in my throat as he approached me.
"Are you a virgin?" He asked suddenly, catching my chin in his hands. He turned my face to him, my cheeks burning deep crimson.
How was I supposed to answer that? Shouldn't he already know? Did he know who my father was?
"U-uh." I stopped as soon as I heard myself stutter, clamping my mouth shut. I was positive my eyes were bugging out of my head right now. He smirked, letting out a silent chuckle.
His breath fanned my face, and I felt myself leaning in closer to him.
"Yes or no?" His pestering brought me back to reality and my eyes widened.
"Yes." I blurted, reaching up to cover my mouth.
He caught my hand, releasing my chin and holding my hand in both of his. He ran his calloused thumb over my fingers, studying them. It was odd, but still somehow attractive.
"Good, that means your only mine then." He said, dropping my hand and stepping backwards. My feet, as if it owned a working brain of its own, stumbled forward at the sudden absence of his presence.
He caught me, a grin forcing its way on his face.
"Woah there. Save all of this for tonight sweetheart." He said, steadying me.
I stepped a few feet away from him, looking away to hide my flushed face.
"Get dressed; you're going on an initiate meeting with me before we go to our weekly dinner." He said, straightening his shirt and running his hands through his hair.
"I don't have any clothes." I said, looking down at myself.
"If it were up to me you wouldn't be wearing any but I don't want everyone looking at what's mine so there are some fresh clothes that should be waiting just outside and a bathroom to freshen up in to your left."
With that he left, leaving me to go about my business. I followed his footsteps a few moments after, opening the door and peering outside. There was a hallway that held two doors and then a large open room with yet another window wall. He must own the largest penthouse on the North side.
I caught site of his retreating from turning the corner with his phone held to his ear. I couldn't help but smile slightly, shaking my head as I picked up the neat pile of clothes.
