Sabrina

I woke up rubbing my eyes I laid there not moving only thing was moving was the blinking of my eye lids I been thinking all night I made dinner last night all it need to be is heated up my so called parents will be here in 5 hours and what's to talk about is all I can think of they left me when I was a baby I'm 17 damn near 18 soon and  now they moving in They can stay where they at if you ask me

" Sabrina Please Come Here " I hear my papa yell I groan and I stretch getting up putting my house shoes on and walking out my room and down the stairs

" yes sir " I say sitting on the couch

" where your brother ?" He ask fixing his button down shirt and slacks

" I tried to get him to come he wasn't budging " I lay back

" why isn't you dressed it's 1:30pm " he say looking at  his watch

" they coming at 6 right " I ask again

" no sabrina they coming at 2 almost to 3 " he say

" y'all keep changing the time " I get up walking upstairs

I find me something to wear I decided on some Blue jeans and a white t shirt and some pink uggs I get in the shower for 20 mins then I get out I dry off and I lotion up putting on bra and panties then my clothes I leave my hair curly and I walk downstairs and see Marvin on the couch I walk over to him and sit down

" you came " I say not looking at him

" only for you and papa ion want nothing to do with them like I said before " he said rubbing my hands
" it's okay your gonna be okay "

I smile and look at him

" yeah I might " I said laugh a little

" uh they here already " my papa say walking to the door he look at us and we stand up and he smile and finish going to the door

That's something him and my grandma did when visitors came stand up look proper and have manners she would said then my papa would nod to us as she said it

" I guess grandma in here huh " Marvin says laughing

I laugh too and I nod watching the door , and I look over at the door and I see a lady that look like me but a older version I had her eyes her lips and her smile I step up a little and I don't say a word then a man appear and he look exactly like Marvin but I had his nose for sure so I'm guessing these are my parents they bring all the bags in him and papa once they was done we stood in the room silent and the lady broke the silent

" uh sorry I kept changing the time I was really excited to come " she say smiling

" yeah she wouldn't stop talking about this all night " the man say laughing to

Me and Marvin stayed quiet as they talking and my papa cleared his throat and I was about to say something but Marvin beat me to it

" yeah uh I'm Gonna Go to the kitchen I need a drink " he say walking away and my papa look at him then me

" I uh , I'm Sabrina " I smile some knowing I want to break down

My mama walk closer to me and she began to touch my face and I move a little

" my baby , you got so big , last time I seen you , you was "

I cut her off

" a newborn baby " I say looking at her

" Sabrina I'm sorry I didn't come back I wish for you to forgive me I wasn't ready me and your father wasn't " she say stepping back

" y'all sure raised Marvin for 3 years add least he knew his parents add least he got the chance to hug smile and be with y'all I didn't , then y'all want to come in here like everything okay when it's not I can't deny y'all as my parents because I look like both of you but I won't pretend to be okay cause I'm not " I say walking in the kitchen and I see Marvin and I lean on the wall and he shake his head and sip his drink
I canceled Chris date for this Yay bonus me

My papa walking in minutes later with a disappointed look I sigh some and prepared for what he gonna say

" add least let them explain, I'm leaving tomorrow morning get used to them y'all understand me " he say upset

" yea sir " I say and Marvin just look away

" yeah pa " he say

Then my papa walk away and I sit on the stool and my parents walk in and stand next to each other by my mama face she has been crying and by my dad face you can tell he was sad , by my face I need answers and by Marvin face he just don't care but deep down he lost and need to be found

" why ?" I ask

" why what brina " my dad say

" why did you send us away and never come back you missed 17 years of my life " I say looking at them

" I lost my job Your mother had a hard time finding one , we sent you to your grandma until we got on our feet , on you 14th birthday we sent you a note with a necklace letting you know we haven't forgot about you letting you know we coming back the necklace had your baby stone handprint , we didn't get on our feet till after your 16th birthday , your mother figured it was to late and you forgot about us then her mother your grandma past , before she died she told your mother get to your children and that's what we going to do if we could take every step back we would we never meant to hurt y'all in anyway" my dad explained I had little tears falling

I remember the necklace I still have it I remember holding the note and necklace every night wishing they came but never did that's when I burned the letter and put the necklace away

" uh , I knew y'all was struggling when I was with y'all but I didn't want to leave , y'all made me I was 3 years old you know what I been thru I was homeless no place to go and you say struggling and when I was homeless I still managed to take care of my daughter " Marvin say looking at my father

He get up and walk up to him

" I'm a grown man now I don't need y'all , but I'm gonna respect you and watch you , the both of you " he say grabbing his keys and leaving

My daddy watched him leave and my mama became sad all over I was hurt but I hate seeing her cry already I walk up to her and I hug her she was surprised but hug me back

" I'm sorry " she whispers

" I forgive you " I whisper back
