As the sun fades, the world gets darker. The oranges and pinks mix together as the sun says goodnight, blanketing the world in black. Kids go out with their friends, college students either cram information into their head last minute, or get wasted.
Adults go to sleep like the responsible adults they (mostly) are. And Francis? Well Francis sits with his lover, arm around his waist as he holds the smaller British man close, watching the sun leave their sight.
They sit on the end of a pier, at their summer cottage they decided to get together, Francis' feet dangling just above the water, his toes dragging through it every now and then.
He looks over at his little Arthur, watching as said man curled up closer to him, half asleep as his eyes were barely open, fluttering a little. "Sleep mon amour." He whispers into his ear as he plays with the unruly spiky blonde hair resting against his shoulder. As the sun faded away completely and darkness consumed, he looked out at the water while the fireflies danced across the water, lighting it up every few seconds, and the moon's reflection joined them.
Francis sat up, scooping Arthur into his arms and holding him close while he made his way into their small cottage, setting him down on the bed, changing him into pyjamas and then doing the same for himself. He pulled the blankets back and laid down next to his love, wrapping an arm around him and pulling him close.
Arthur rested his head on Francis' chest, head just under his chin. He had an arm draped across Francis' stomach, snoring quietly. Francis had his arm around Arthur's waist and was resting his face on the top of his head. They slept peacefully, listening to the faint crickets in the night, cuddling close as not to get cold.
The sunset fades, and the world gets dark, lovers cuddle close, and never let go of each other.
(Sooooooo, I know it's been a long long time, and I know that was very short but...I have no excuse actually...I'm sorry for being gone so long, I do really like writing, I just lost confidence. Sorry about that :/. I hope everyone likes it.)
