Chapter one: The First test
Isabella's POV
"You will complete this first test of mental status for the decision. Please use complete sentences, proper grammar, and you must fill in the bubbles completely on the multiple choice. You will have three hours to complete this test in specific your time will start in five minutes. Please get a drink use the bathroom and ask your questions now. If you need a short bathroom break please raise your hand. You will have a five minute break at the one and a half hour mark. You must bring all study tools and or notes up to my desk. I wish you all the best of luck synchronize your watches to a five minutes timer and we will begin after all timers go off." Professor Leon tells us the rules for the first of four tests.
The first test is written it tells them where your mind develops to. The second test is physical it tests what physical fitness you would best adjust to. The third test is hands on you try multiple different skills from each group. The fourth and final is psychological it gives you images manipulated to what your life would look like wherever you went and they hook you to a machine that scans brain waves and finds which life you really think you would thrive in.
"Beep beep beep beep" alarms all sound and we begin our testing process.

I continue through the questions until the halfway break I was almost done so I got up and stretched. I went to the vending machines and bought a small package of cookies for $1.65 and walked back to the classroom. I continued my test and finished with three minutes to spare.I walked to catch the bus on heath street and it rode home. On our first testing day they request we stay in a five mile radius of our orphanage. I stayed in my dorm till the dinner bell was rung. When the bell was rung I walk out of my room lock the door and walked to hall B. I get in a line of girls my age and grab one of the small squares beige plates, a matching mug, a matching large round plate, and a dull red tray. I grab two dinner rolls, a four ounce piece of chicken, two ounces of cooked carrots, a cup of sparkling apple water, two spoons of cottage cheese, and a small jello container. I walk over to a small circle table and sit down, I eat quickly and swiftly so I have time to go on a short walk on the trails. I finish, clean up my mess and throw my hair back in a ponytail. I jog outside and walk along the small bicycle path to a small cleaning with a coy pond and a bench. I sit at the bench and hum a melody.
Society lives peacefully in the corner
The destructive they fight the dangers away
The intelligent the worlds saviors they fill the gaps we left
The passionate they love they live they smile
The freedoms they play at the corner no rules nothing matters but they disappeared
Welcome to society
The place we live
The place we see
Society
I sit on the bench and watch the sunset. I walk back when it's close to dark and go to my dorm. I sit and stare at the off white sealing with a simple pail blue lamp shade. I stare up and then suddenly.
________________________________
Mason's POVI sit in a small classroom working on a test to determine where I will be placed as of my eighteenth birthday. I hope I get placed as one of the intelligent. We are allowed to leave once done so when I finish I give my packet to the teacher and walk out of the room.
I walk back to the orphanage and go to the group room. I pull out a old movie called "Lucy" and pop it in the portable movie player and sign it out of the room. I go to my dorm and watch the movie till the end. I look at the time I have two hours till dinner so I take the movie back to the group room and put everything back. I grab a light green bicycle off of the rack and start pedaling. I go to a small pawn shop on the destructive side of town.
I walk into the pawn shop and see rows upon rows of knives and other weapons. I find a small silver pin knife with golden trimmings around the edge. I find a small price tag on the knife $7.89 I decided to buy it, I throw ten dollars at a man with small detailed piercings and tattoos. "Keep the change" I shout and show the item to him. He nods his head and motions for me to go.
I walk out of the store and put the knife in the pocket of my jeans and got on the bicycle. I pedaled back to the orphanage and went to the kitchen and got the plates and cups and set them out on the table with some other guys. The kitchen staff went through and placed a basic meal on the plate. Everyone sat down and the passionate that runs the orphanage said grace and we ate.
I made sure I locked up the bicycle after dinner and walked back to my dormitory I played a game I found one of the passionate games called "bop it". I got up returned my game to the light colored wooden chest at the foot of the bed. I herd the speaker go on and the passionate who runs the orphanage say a goodnight prayer.
I shut the light off and lay down in the bed I stare up at the off white sealing. Looking up and counting one, two, three, four and then.
