Katie is startled out of her day dream by the ringing of the final bell.
"darn it was just getting to the good part." Katie mutters to her self. She looks around her writing class for a certain teenage boy with floofy blonde hair. She spots Colton across the room as he puts his binder into his backpack.
Colton looks around the classroom as he prepares to exit. Katie tries to look away, but its too late. Their blue eyes meet. Colton smiles and Katie looks away blushing.
He saw me looking at him, she thought.
Slightly embarrassed, Katie quickly packed her things and left the room.
She tosses her lob-ish blonde hair over her shoulder and walks to her friends down the hall.
"Yo", Bailey, a tall-ish chocolate brunette with the same colored eyes, says greeting her. standing next to Bailey is Anna. Anna has light brown and blue eyes that dawn her features and she greets Katie with a simple,
"Hey."
"how was your day?" Bailey asked, starting off down the hall with Katie and Anna in tow.
"Eh, the usual," Katie answered,"but Colton and I made contact in writing "
"That's progress", Anna said with a smirk.
"Welp, time for me to depart" Katie stated as she turned right to the band hall.
"Bye" Bailey and Anna say as she walks into the band hall
Katie's heart fluttered as a Colton brushes past her as she makes her way to her band locker. She really wishes that she could talk to Colton in the same manner that she talks to her friends or even at all, but Katie's brain decides no. Katie grabs her things and starts to make her way home.

The next morning Katie was woken up to her alarm, exhausted, so she decided to hit snooze. I'll get up to the next one, she thought. Well she went through this process about 4 times leaving her a little less than 10 minuets to get to school.
"Shit", she exclaimed out loud as she scrambled out of bed. With a sudden burst of energy, Katie quickly got dressed, got her things together, grabbed a banana, and hopped on her bike. As she was ridding to school she could already tell that it was going to be a long day.
