Sensei Wu shut the door to his room, and took a deep breath. After a long day, he was most certainly ready for a calm evening of meditation.
A cup of tea in hand, Wu sat down, cross legged, on the hard, wooden floor, cushioned only by the bamboo mat underneath him. The old man sipped his tea and closed his eyes, ready to fall into the abyss of relaxation that came with inner peace.
However, Sensei Wu was never able to finish this process, and much less begin it, as the smokes from the always steaming pot in front of him began to flow out of the creamic container faster than usual. Wu caught a whiff of the odor that emenated from the fog, and his wrinkled, old eyelids shot open in surprise.
A prophecy.
Bright colors plumed from the smoke as it swirled around the room, soft voices hissing in a raspy language long forgotten.
"Great spirits of the vast beyond," the old man pleaded, "what have you come to say to me at this time?"
"A new prophecy has been foretold," came one of the whispy voices.
"Please, do share with me the said prophecy!"
"As you wish."
A new voice spoke next, this one louder and clearer than the last.
"The prophecy," it boomed, "is this:
Shadows are growing,
The elder brother's evil is once again showing.
A new ninja must be found,
As sinister things creep up without sound.
Light can defeat the shadows,
But not before evil's daughter comes into play
However, good is what she must stay
If evil's daughter lives up to her name,
This will no longer be a simple game.
Only light can restore the balance,
without the gold ninja, there is no chance.
Only light can cure the daughter,
if not, there will be endless slaughter.
Save them both, and you will think you have won.
But, truly, the battle will have only just begun."
