I ran down the street, struggling to keep my breath steady as I cried. I was coming home from a party that I was given permission to go to, but I was told to be home by a certain time. Due to the fact that my ride totally bailed on me, I was definitely going to be late.
The more I thought about it, the more I cried. I knew damn well that Vic was gonna be very pissed off.
The party wasn't far from home, but when you're running and in the middle of an anxiety attack, it feels twice as far away.
I finally reached the house, breathing heavily once I got to the door and wiping away my tears so that he didn't see me cry. I slowly turned the doorknob and opened the door, being greeted with a very angry Vic.
"Where the fuck have you been?" He asked sternly, his arms crossed and his eyebrows furrowed.
"I would've been here on time, I swear! My ride bailed on me." I explained shakily.
"You could have called me, you idiot." He said, rolling his eyes.
"I didn't want you to get mad a-and it's not too far of a walk." I told him as I sniffled.
"Well, I'm already m- wait, are you about to cry?" He asked, looking at me like I was ridiculous.
"N-no." I lied, my voice cracking.
I decided that wasn't my best choice when I saw his eyes darken as he stepped towards me, grabbing me by the shirt.
"Let me ask you again, Kellin. Are you about to cry?" He repeated angrily.
I nodded softly, not trusting my voice.
That wasn't my best choice either.
"Speak!" He yelled, slamming me against the closed door.
I let the tears come out as I looked at him.
"I'm s-sorry!" I apologized.
"Sorry isn't enough, Kellin!" He yelled, slamming me against the door again before letting go, causing my body to fall on the floor.
"Come on. It's time to go to bed." He ordered me. I scrambled off the floor, trying my best not to sniffle as I followed him up the stairs.
