Venus' POV
He stood in the living room, scanning his surroundings. It was adorable. It must be all new to him, I hope he doesn't get frightened anytime soon. I slowly walked up behind him, letting my hand fall on his shoulder. He stared up at me, big hazel eyes, engulfed in curiosity. I carefully moved my hand past his neck to his chin. I lifted it softly so his head titled upwards, facing me.
I left his side and went into the kitchen. I felt his eyes follow me as I pulled fruits and ice out of the white refrigerator placed perfectly between two bamboo cabinets. I gently placed the ingredients on a white counter, counting how much of each item I had. I then paced to the other side of the kitchen and grabbed a black handled cutting kitchen knife.
Unknown's POV
She was now in the kitchen I can only guess. It was nice in here, warm. Why did she take me with her though? Strange girl she is for sure. Has she never heard of stranger danger?
Oh well, I shouldn't complain, it's been a long time since I've had a person to talk to. Hell, a place to stay that was actually safe was also new.
I looked around the large living room. It had a black leather sofa and a matching love seat. A flat screen television stood on a black tv stand, it had two shelves on each side, each holding a vase with white orchids in them. There was a glass coffee table in the middle as well, it had two books on science breakthroughs in history on the clear surface. On the walls there was pictures of a man and a woman, holding the shoulders of a young girl, must be the girl that took me in, so they must be her parents. Another picture shows two girls and a boy hugging each other at the beach, they seemed so happy.
I hear a blender going off in the background, frightening me at first. The girl walks in holding a tray with a pitcher and two glass cups. The pitcher was full of a reddish-purple substance. She comes up to me and puts the tray on the table.Venus' POV
"Here you go, it's not much but I hope you like it." I slowly pour out some strawberry and blackberry smoothie in to a cup for him. I hand the cup to him and smiled softly. He looked at me, surprised I guess. I always try to give my guests something to eat, even though I don't get many.
He takes the cup and drinks the smoothie quickly, licking his lips after he was done.
"Would you like some more?"
"Y-yes please"
I stand there, astonished by how deep and husky his voice was. For a child he sounded older than me. But alas I pour him another drink and he drinks it all up.
"My name is Venus Night, what's your name?" I ask him kindly.
"I-I don't have a name, well not that's very suitable I mean." I looked at him, puzzled on what he meant "suitable". I take a cup from the tray and pour out the smoothie in it. I take a minute to drink, as I try not to get a brain freeze.Unknown's POV
I watch hers sip her drink, very slowly it went down her throat. She moved over to the couch and pat the seat next to her, signaling me to sit down. I sit down, staring at her for further instructions or information.
She doesn't say much more afterwards, so silence hangs over the two of us like a blanket. I was thinking of breaking the silence though.
Why did you bring me in?
Why are you alone?
Are you not afraid of strangers?
Instead I sit quietly and scratch the side of the cup I was given.
"So what were yo doing in that alley all alone?" She asks, breaking the silence.
"I'm homeless..." At least I'm being honest. Don't want to lie to the only person that isn't afraid of me.
"Oh, um would you care to stay here? I have enough rooms so you can stay if you'd like." Her voice is like silk, being weaved as she spoke sweet and kind words to me.
"You're not afraid of me?"
"No, why should I be? You haven't been nothing but a pleasure so far, and I don't mind helping a pleasurable person out."
"Are you not afraid of strangers?" I asked her, since it's been on my mind.
"If you don't talk to strangers, how do you make friends? You need to be open with everyone in my opinion, unless they're dangerous of course." She answered softly, as if she was shy about saying that.
She got up from the seat and walked up stairs that were to the side of the dining room. I watched her as she quietly walked up them into the abyss of the unknown, well unknown to me I guess. She brings back a stack of clothes and shoes.
"Here, these are my friend Carter's clothes. He doesn't use these anymore so I might as well give it to somebody who will use it. You can go change in the bathroom, it's up the stairs, third door to the left." She hands me the clothes and points up the stairs. So she lives with a man?
I walk up the stairs to the door she told me to go to. I walked in, to see a gorgeous and big bathroom. It had a huge mirror and a rain shower. The toilet was also expensive looking too. I close the door and lock it.----------------------------------------------
