Jungkook was drooling.
The little fish swimming in its bowl was remarkably boring, but it kept the three youngest who were home very occupied.
They were quiet for a whole three minutes. That's three minutes of no yelling. Three minutes without five second intervals between several different cartoons. Three minutes without Taehyung tripping over and falling. Three minutes without Jungkook whining and begging his parents for more biscuits. Three minutes without Jimin singing and dancing extremely loudly to Pick Me Up.
The house almost seemed... Peaceful.
"Fishy," Taehyung breathed, blowing mist all over the front of the bowl. He was breathing very heavily, eyes wide, cheeks compressing his smile.
Jungkook was staring so loosely hard on the fish, he didn't notice the dribble running down his chin.
Jimin had his nose squashed against the glass, unblinking stare fixed on the fish.
"what's his name?" Jimin whispered.
"Why don't you call it an English name?" Namjoon said, kneeling down beside Jimin. He was marvelling in his decision to get them a fish.
"Sopia!" Taehyung said suddenly, jumping up.
"So-So!" Jungkook squeaked, getting caught up in the excitement.

It took seven minutes for the custody battle to commence.
"You said that getting them a fish would make them calmer!" Seokjin hissed.
"It did!" Namjoon said. "They're just arguing over who's sitting by the stupid fish."
Jungkook smacked Namjoon's thigh. "Bad, P-pa!" he scolded. It was a very feeble hit, since he could barely press the buttons on the remote, letalone hurt someone physically.
Seokjin squealed, and picked Jungkook up. "He's sooooooo cute when he's aggressive!"
"OW.... "Namjoon murmured, pouting. "That fish is ruining our kids. Our babies."
Jimin leaned closer to the bowl, little mist forming on the glass as he exhaled. "L-lets see what it wants to say."
"What? What?" Taehyung whispered, leaning closer to the bowl himself. Hoseok lied down beside Taehyung, watching the TV, and Yoongi was doing the same, but lying next to Jimin.
"Sophia wants to go to school with us!" Jimin gasped.
"Oh. Jimin, why don't you invite your friends over to play and see Sophia instead? I don't think it's very convenient or... Possible, for you to bring a pet to school," Namjoon said, playing with one of Jimin's abandoned toy trucks by his feet. Jin always teased Namjoon for his wonky toes.
The day ended with Jimin and Taehyung not moving, and Jin needing to drag Taehyung and Jungkook away to remind them to go to the bathroom. Jimin just stood there, crossing his legs and squirming.
"You can bring Sophia into the baby's room and you can sleep over there, Chim," Seokjin suggested, running a hand through Jimin's silky hair."OK!" jimin grinned, overjoyed.
I'd written this one a while ago, and I thought I'd just post it. Because why not??
