Chapter 1

Amira POV:

"I'm so excited!"

"Why exactly?"

"Because of school!"

Amira Francheski here and today is my first day of highschool!!! I'm so excited! Going to highschool means new school, new teachers, new friends, new classes, new library, new books, and new boys!!!

All my life I've been waiting for this moment. The moment where I become a freshman! They say being a senior is the best, but I think being a freshman is the best. I mean come on what's so good about going to a school you've been at for 3 years already and know everyone? Nothing.

Being a freshman means you get to have a fresh start. Meet new people, impress new teachers, read more challenging books, gawk at slightly older, slightly cuter than middle school, boys!

Right now I'm riding with my best friend to W. J. Terence School of Arts where he's been going to for 2 years now. He's a sophomore and he's 16. He has long dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and dark skin tone. He's tall at 6'7 and built like a boxer!

"Only you of all people would get excited about school. I mean come on, who do you know, that's normal, gets excited about going to hell?"

"Well I'm excited and I know myself.,"

"You're not normal"

"I'll have you know that I am the normalest person in this car."

"You know very well that that is a lie because I'm the only normal person in this car, you're just weird."

"I'm not weird just-"

"Strange, unnatural, abnormal, idiosyncratic, mentally challenged?"

"You interrupted me, and those are just synonyms for weird!"

"You're weird Mira just accept it"

"Meanie" I said while he laughed.

"We're here!"

The dorms! Yayyyyy! I've always wanted to be in a dorm with awesome people and a roommate! I cant wait!

"Woohoooo!!!"

"I'm gonna be late. Remember Im in building 6 room 435 okay. Swing by when you need help unpacking. Now get out!"

"Alright alright I'm going! Bye Nicky! See ya later!"

"Bye Mira, and don't call me that!"

"Sorry, I can't hear you, too busy not listening!" I said running to the doors.

Ah the sweet smell of freedom! And treats. Is that a bakery across the street?

I looked to where the smell was coming from and there it was! Sweet treats bakery. I should go there sometime. Now, to the dorms! The dorm building is big and has a vague sense of "lived in" that i loved. It had a sign above it reading Building 4. I went inside and followed the signs until I reached room 221.
