My brothers best friend

Chapter 1

All of a sudden I see light shining through my window right in my eyes letting me know that I have to wake up. I look at my clock which says it's 10:30. I force myself to get up even though I could honestly lay in bed all day if I had the choice, but my parents will be home at 11:30 and I miss them. So I get out of bed and head to my bathroom where I take a nice warm shower, brush my hair and teeth, put on some light makeup, and get dressed.

I decided to just wear some black leggings and a blue t-shirt since I feel so lazy.

As I make my way down stairs I see that my brother Mike is making breakfast.

"Hey sis your up early." Mike said looking surprised to see me.

"Yea I got up since mom and dad are coming home soon." I told mike looking at the pancakes he's making wanting one.

"Are you going to stand there with your mouth watering or would you like a pancake?" He said laughing at me. I didn't even realize I was staring.
I walk over to the chairs and sit down ready to eat. I always have to have strawberries on everything they honestly make everything taste better.

"Can you put on some music Mike it's too quiet in here." He then walked over to the radio and turned it on.

Of course my favorite song "radioactive" comes on so I just have to sing along. We both start singing along dancing around.

" I'm waking up! I feel it in my bones, enough to make my system grow! Welcome to the new age, to the new age, welcome to the new age. To the new age!

" I swear this song gets better every time I hear it." Mike said still dancing around.

Just as we start singing again we hear a knock on the door.

" mom and dad must be home." I said as I starting walking towards the door.

" Hey kids how have you been!" My parents said together.

"We have been good how about u guys?" Mike said with a smile on his face.

"We have been good but we have to go now because our flight leaves in an hour." My dad says. As soon as he said that me and mike both looked at each other then at them as they were getting ready to leave.

"But you guys just got here!" I said as started to get a sad feeling inside cause I miss them so much.

"I know sweetie but we will be back again in a few weeks. Here is your guys allowance now we have to go. See you guys soon love you." And with that they left.

I ran up to my room upset that they left again just like that and I started crying.
Mike came in and looked sad too.

"I know it sucks that they had to leave so fast but at least they came." Mike said trying to cheer me up.

" I know, well I guess it's ok it's not like we see them much anyways." I said slowly getting tired.

" hey sis why don't you go to sleep? Then later we can have a movie night ok." Mike says trying to cheer me up.

"Ok sounds fun thanks Michael I love you."

" I love you too sis goodnight. Oh and I have a friend coming over later but we will try to be quiet." Mike says.

"Ok thanks goodnight." I said and with that he left.

I slowly drifted to sleep.
