Tom's
"Oye, Shizuo." I said. Shizuo's head popped up. "Yes Tom-san?"
Great... How do I start this kind of conversation with him? "What happened back there?" Shizuo looked confused. "With Izaya?" I mentioned. I saw his face turn red. Wait, what? "Nothing really, I just realized it was stupid to chase after him when we were almost done..." Even though Shizuo said that, I felt as if he was lying. "Shizuo, is everything alright?"
"Everything is fine Tom-san. So how many more do we have?" Shizuo is trying to avoid the subject... "Well, we only have 3 more to go." Maybe it is for the best to leave it alone.
Shizuo's
When Tom-san said my name I looked up, but I zoned out when he asked a question to me. I did not know how to respond... Then when Tom-san said, "With Izaya?" My mind went elsewhere for a second. I snapped back from that thought.
I guessed about the fight with Izaya in reality. I tried to push that thought away, the bad one. "Nothing really." I lied, "I just thought it was stupid to chase after him when we were almost done..." I hated lying to Tom, he was always a great friend. Tom-san can tell when I am lying sometimes, but he barely admits it to me that he knows.
"Shizuo, is everything alright?" Huh? He must of noticed. "Everything is fine Tom-san. So how many more do we have?" I tried to get away from the subject Tom-san was about to bring up. I could tell because we worked so long together.
Tom-san seemed distant. "Well, we only have 3 more to go." Great. I felt as if I did something to startle Tom-san. Tom-san was being weird, that had to be the only explanation.
But, I guess walking away from fighting with Izaya was weird in its own way... Ugg. I wanted to finish up quickly just so I could go home.
