I woke up to someone shaking me, I let out a soft yawn as I barely opened my eyes to see Nate holding a large duffle bag.

"Wake up Janey, today's day one of Or adventure!" His chirpiness caused me to groan and bury my face deeper into the pillow. "Go away."

Nate chuckled yet again before taking the blankets off me/

"Sorry, no can do, we've got a big day of traveling!" His chirpiness suddenly died down when a rough knock echoed through the apartment.

"Nathan! I know your in there you bastard! Where's my rent money?" Nate cursed under his breath as he quickly shuffled out of the room.

"Nate?" I asked confused as more loud knocks caused my ears to ring.

"Open the damn door before I break it down!" Fear took over me as I curled up in the corner as Nate rushed back into the room and picked me up.

I squealed in shock as he rushed to the back door and opened it.

"Listen to me Janey, go down the stairs and wait for me outside the back ok?" His brown eyes held seriousness and nervousness too.

I nodded as he opened the back door and shut it gently.

"I'm coming you old bag of shit!" I rolled my eyes and ran down the flight of stairs.

I opened up the back door and saw Nate's bag sitting against the wall. I sat down next to his bag as I tapped my foot nervously.

What a perfect way to start off my day!

The back door busted open and I was pulled to my feet by Nate who dragged me to the bus stop.

"Why are we running?!" I yelled as Nate had a tight grip on my hand.

"That was my land lord and let's just say he wasn't happy my rent is two months late." The bus doors were just about to close when Nate put his hand out.

"Marcus!" Marcus rolled his eyes as Nate shoved two dollars in the small metal box by the door and dragged us to the back of the bus.

I saw a big man stop running and shake his fist at the bus. I breathed out as I sunk deeper into my seat, great Jane, already getting into trouble with someone you barely even know.

"Are you ok?" I turned my head to have Nate put his hand on my cheek and look my face over.

"I'm fine." I chuckled as he sighed.

"I'm sorry Janey, I thought that old bastard was coming this afternoon." I shrugged as I crossed my arms over my chest. "Not the worst thing that could happen."

"We'll get comfy, were in for a long ride." I huffed and nodded as he handed me a sweatshirt.

"What is this?" I asked as I pulled it on.

"My hoodie." I rolled my eyes once again as he wrapped an arm around me.

Guess there's no turning back now.
