backstory: Born as a original intent to be a soldier, created as a mix of two gems. She was a testing rat to see if it would work. They thought she didn't make it because she never wanted to leave her hole in the kindergarten. Once everyone left, with no intent or care to see if she was possibly there, everyone left. Except one person. The other 'mistake' known as Amathist. She named all the rocks, and enjoyed being alone. At night she would talk to Amathist but never left her hole. When the gems came for amathist to originally look at the kindergarten, amathist refused to leave without first meeting the voice she heard every night. As small Totrin finally left her hole for the first time, she was skinny, and pale for a topaz or citrine. Pearl wanted to just leave but Rose saw the good and determination in the small New gem.
