Lilianne's POV

On Tuesday morning I woke up feeling a little nervous. I walked into my walk-in- shower. Washing my hair with my vanilla shampoo and conditioner. Rinsing out the conditioner, I reached for my rose scented shower gel and squirted some on my loofa. Lathering my body up until the scent of roses wafted in the air. Letting the bubbles slide of my body and then turning the knob to shut off the water. Wrapping my black fluffy towel around me and a smaller one for my hair. I walked over to the sink so I could brush my teeth and to lotion up my body.

In the back of my head I knew that I had to wear something comfortable if I was going to visit Zander later on. Choosing a floral skater skirt, white tank top tucked into the skirt, a black cardigan and a pair of black Vans. Deciding to not do much with my hair I went for a side fishtail braid. Simple eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss for makeup. Checking the time to make sure I was on track, I went downstairs for some breakfast. Placing a straberry frosted poptart in the toaster, while I got my messenger bag ready for school. Inside I threw in my water bottle, keys, folders and a granola bar for snacking. I heard the ding indicating that my poptart is ready for devouring.

I took the bite and it was a stupid mistake because my tongue got burnt.

When the stinging feeling went away I got my bag and headed outside to my red KIA soul. I threw my messenger bag onto the passengers seat. I backed down the driveway and sped of to Woodville High. Half an hour later I pulled up at the school parking lot. I noticed that all of Zander's so called friends waiting for him at his usual parking spot. I instantly got angry, because they don't know that their friend is in the hospital paralyzed. Still feeling angry I got my messenger bag, and sports bag full of archery equipment out of the car. I slammed my car door feeling frustrated, which then made stomp across the parking lot all the way to my locker.

Once I got to my locker I pulled out the books needed for the first half of the day. Then proceeding to homeroom where I greeted my teacher and signed in for attendance.I was already anticipating Principal Relli announcing Zanders's absence from school. Zander is like our school's personal David Beckham or Brad Pitt.

By the time fourth period rolled around it was announced that all students should proceed to the soccer field for a special announcement. Teachers were at the bottom of the bleachers indicating where every students grade level were to sit in. I was looking for a seat to sit in when I noticed my best friend Lola yelling for me. Pushing past the students was hard especially since I was pushing the jocks, which felt more like pushing boulders. Finally reaching Lola I sat down with a plop exhausted from the mini workout. Our principal tapped the microphone which made a horrible screeching sound that instantly shut everyone up.

Principal Relli: "Good morning everyone."

He recieved a chorus of Good Morning's Mr. Relli.

Mr.Relli: "I have gathered all of you hear today to deliver some sad news. It's hard to say this but our school's star player Zander Segovia was in a terrible accident yesterday after school."

When Mr.Relli finished making the announcement a bunch of girls started to full on cry. It annoyed me because none of those girls really knew him and in some way it annoyed me too since I don't know Zander either yet I'm going to help him. But I promised myself to help him during this rough patch in his life. Then Mr.Relli started making another announcement.

Mr.Relli: "To make Zander feel better the art department is making a 'Get Well' card, so all you can sign the card during your designated lunch period; the card will be delivered by a fellow student of ours that will vist him later after school." With that our small assembly was dimissed and everyone was sent to sixth period. All I could think about what was how Zander is doing.

Zander's POV

Beep....Beep....Beep...

That's all I could hear, but the thing that annoyed me the most was that my entire right arm felt like it was on fire, so I couldn't turn off the alarm. I waited a few seconds until I decided to open my eyes and when I did I regretted it. All I could see was white and for a split second I thought I died. Blinking a few times to get adjusted the lights, which made me realize that my room lights aren't that bright. I looked around the room and to the right where the beeping sound is being emitted from. Noticing that a heart monitor was to be blamed for the incessant sound. It seemed hard to remember what happened to me but someone who could give me answers entered the room.

"Well hello Mr.Segovia it's good to see that you are awake." The man with the white lab coat and clipboard said to me.

"Um.. can you explain to me why I'm in the hospital." I finished telling the doctor. Trying to make myself comfortable, I tried sitting up but it seemed like a difficult task because my legs didn't move. Slowl panic started to settle in as I laid in bed, pulling back the covers is when I noticed that my legs are all covered up in gauze.

"Doctor what is wrong with me and why can't I feel my legs!" I yelled at him as I slapped my legs with my only good arm.

"Mr.Segovia please settle down or I will have to sedate you, preventing you from answers."

The doctor gave me a few minutes to myself and when he noticed I was calm he started to speak.

"Well I'm Dr.Penza and I treated all your wounds yesterday night. It seems that yesterday after soccer practice a car hit you. From the impact you received multiple injuries. One to your head, broken legs, a disloacted shoulder, and a disloacted spinal disk."

He finished saying all my injuries and I just pictured myself looking like roadkill.

"Now the reason why you can't feel your legs is because a disk in your spinal cord moved out of place, luckily we were able to move the disk back into place. There will be swelling which will not permit you to feel anything below the waist. Also your legs are in bad shape. So will be temporarily paralyzed until the swelling goes down and your legs heal."

When he finished talking, I let the news sink in. Tears spilled down my cheeks, making me feel like a young boy all alone. What made everything worse is that not one friend or family memeber is here to tell me that everything is going to be alright. I looked away from the doctor not letting him see me at my weakest. A white folded piece of paper caught my attention. Slowly reaching for it I opened the paper to notice that Lilianne Anderson wrote that she saved me and that she would visit me later afterschool. I became angry that the school goody two shoes had to rescue me.

I crumpled up the paper and started to knock things down. Tears just kept spilling, a blurry white figure walked to my IV drip and injected something inside. Trying to blink away the darkness seemed hard and sure after I welcomed it with open arms.

Well here is another update. I'm sorry that it's late but school is cracking down with prepung for our state test next month. What makes this even more difficult is that my laptop charger broke and I have to upload from my phone. So if I don't update sorry but I do want to get into a good college.
