ALIS POV.
I woke up and checked the time. 10:06am. I sat up and gasped. 'DAISYS LATE FOR SCHOOL!' I stood up still half asleep trying to rush to get myself ready. She had never ever been late for school. 'Ali! Ali, calm down' Ben was here, why was he here? I didn't remember him being here last night, come to think of it, I don't remember falling asleep on the sofa at all. Wait, where was Daisy?!
I stopped, and sat down on the sofa. 'Okay, Okay, Okay. I have just a few questions...' I looked at Ben dead in the eyes, and he copied my actions. 'Shoot' He said, taking my hands. '1. where the hell is Daisy?! 2. What're you doing here?! and 3. Since when did I fall asleep on the sofa?' I looked at me and gave me a reassuring smile.
'Right, Daisy... She's at school. I took her this morning so she wouldn't be late. I'm here now, because I stayed the night after you got back from the hospital, visiting your dad. And, you must have been exhausted when you got back home because, you stepped in, sat down, broke down crying and within half an hour you were spark out' He stopped speaking and I just stared taking in the information. How could someone be as nice as Ben is? I just didn't understand it. 'So, Dais is at school?' I was still processing things. 'Yes, Ali. Don't worry yourself. Daisy is at school. She's perfectly safe'
I relaxed abit. 'So, what made you stay? You didn't have to stay here last night.. but you did' He chuckled a little, and rubbed my knee and began to explain... 'I stayed because you were hysterical, you had just come home from seeing your father in hospital, which was a shock in itself.. I hugged you to try and calm you down and you fell asleep in my arms. There was nothing I could have done then. So I got comfortable and went to sleep with you'
BENS POV.
I carried on smiling at Ali, making sure that she knew I didn't stay because I felt like I had to stay, I stayed because I wanted to stay. I wanted to make sure that she was okay. I couldn't just leave her in the state that she was in. 'So, you didn't feel like you had to stay then?' ... she wasn't going to stop asking, was she? 'No, of course I didn't. I couldn't leave you in that state, and I love you Ali'
I was scared about asking her, I knew I wanted to but I didn't know when, where or how. All I knew was that I loved her, and I wanted her in my life for the rest of my life. She got up to go and make myself and her a brew. I had time to think about it, to think about, and plan how and when I was going to ask her to marry me.
She came back in... 'Here you go my lovely!' She smiled and giggled as she gave me the freshly made brew. I smiled and took it. 'Ooh, whats got you in such a good mood?' I laughed and took a sip from the steaming cup. 'oh nothing!' she smiled more as she took a huge sip of hers.
'Oh come on! I know for a fact, you're never this happy on a normal day! So come on, spill!' She laughed and tried not to tell me. I could tell she was trying so so hard, not to. I just stared at her, smiled and raised an eyebrow. 'Oh fine! I've just got a call from the hospital. My dads no longer in a critical condition. They're moving him to a normal ward, and they've said, with the way he's going, he should be out within a week or two!' She couldn't control her smile and it got bigger until she was grinning like a Cheshire Cat!
'Ali! thats great news! I'm so happy for you!' I smiled as I realised that might have sounded weird In the context of things but, I didn't know what else to say. I stood up, headed over and kissed her, tenderly and passionately. I caressed her cheek as I pulled away from the kiss. She looked at me, her hazel eyes shining beautifully.

I was now 2pm, and we were cuddled up, on the sofa watching the tv. We both seemed to have the day off today, which was a rarity! I knew it was now or never if I was going to ask Ali to marry me, she had to be going to fetch Daisy at 3...
I took a deep breath, stood up and left the room. I ran upstairs, grabbed the ring and came back down. She look slightly skeptical about why I suddenly up and left. I smiled a little, which got her more confused. 'Where did you go?' She asked, confusion laced in her voice. 'Just somewhere to get something.... for you..' I smiled and took her hand, and gestured for her to stand up.
'Right, Ali. I know it's now or never.. I've been scared and nervous, and worried about thinking about doing this, but now, I know its the right time and....' she cut me off.. 'Ben, what are you on about, you're worrying me more now..'
'Ali, what I'm trying to say... is...' I got down on one knee and she began to smile uncontrollably
'Will You Marry Me?'
