Chapter 8

I was so happy it was Saturday and I got to sleep in . Normally when I woke up is be in a good mood . But nope I'm in a bitchy one cause Nicks here . That fucking asshole , gets on my nerves . He hasn't done anything but yell and drink since he's been here , and it pisses me off . My aunt said he's only here for a little while till he gets himself together . I know that he's gonna be here for a long while so I don't plan on staying that long .

Today I was gonna take grace to the park . Then we were gonna go get ice cream and go to the movies . I promised her when I lost the bet we made . She said she could eat her cereal quicker than me ... And she won .

I had just dressed and went to graces room . She had on her red Mickey Mouse crew neck , with her black leggings and her chucks . I giggled and she turned her attention to me .

" Hey , we're leaving now !" She said jumping on her bed . I nodded and she jumped in my arms . I turned around and we headed downstairs . I put her down and went to grab my keys from the kitchen . I seem nick sitting at the table and I silently snarled . I went back to the door and grabbed graces hand .

" I wanna sit in the front !" She protested . " Sorry Hun but you're not old enough " I put her in her seat and got in the driver seat . I put the key in the ignition and drive off .

" Hahaha ! you can't catch me ! " grace yelled as I chased her around the park . " Oh really ? " I question and run faster . I scoop her up in my arms and she screams . I laugh and stop spinning . I Put her down and she giggles before running off to the swings . I follow and help her get on the swing .

" Push me ! " She giggled and I did . Every time she got higher her laugh would get louder . I couldn't help but smile , she was just so happy and carefree .

" Allie Allie , I want to get off now . She sang and I stopped her . She hopped off and grabbed my hand . She pulled me towards a white brick wall full of drawings and graffiti . She just stared at it in amusement .

" Allie .... Do you see the letters J-D-B ? " she asked curiously " no , those aren't even up here " I tell her and she shakes her head . She takes a few steps back and tilts her head again.

" Yes they are , just look carefully " I looked at her weirdly but tilted my head to . She was right they are up there . You wouldn't have thought that because , when you look at it you just see drawings and graffiti . No one would have guessed a six year old would see that . But who's jdb ?

"Alright let's go get ice cream " I tug her arm and she pulls away running to the car ; laughing . I shake my head and follow .

" Go on tell the lady what ice cream you want " I motion her to tell .

" Okay ... I waaaaant cotton candy ice cream , with vanilla ice cream with brownies and sprinkles in it ! " she gushed with excitement . The lady laughed and made it for her .

" And how about you miss ?" she asked me . " I'll just take chocolate and vanilla " she nodded and made me mine . I payed and we sat down and ate out ice cream .

" Allie ....... You're so pretty " grace said staring at me . I smiled really big .

" Thank you grace , you know you're beautiful too right ? " She gave me a huge smile .

" Does that mean we can be pretty princesses together ?" Hope filled her eyes and I nodded .

We finished out ice cream and left to go to the movies . Grace was signing 'roar' by Katy perry in the back and I started to join in .

We pulled up and hopped out of the car . Grace skipping with her hand in mine .

" So what movie do you want to see ?" She stops skipping and thinks for a minute . " Um , how about the croods, it's kinda old but I really wanna see it please !" She pleaded I nodded and we went in . After we paid and got food and candy , she wouldn't stop squealing . We went inside and took some seat kinda in the middle .
