Prologue;

Most people fear the darkness. The echo of screams real or imagined permeating from within the blackness. The evils lurking from even deeper within the realms of nothingness.

But the question begs still, why not fear the light? The constant shrouds of light on earth that always emanate through the darkness. Those slivers of light, of hope, that always seem so distant, but always available.

A nightlight in a child's room, a street lamp in a deserted part of town, a candle in a romantic restaurant. All small reminders that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. That there is always hope in a seemingly hopeless situation.

But when the power goes out and all you're left with is pulsating blackness, why light a candle? Why grab a flashlight? - When what may be lurking in the darkness is much more appreciated than what you can see with the light.
