Red's POV:
"See you tomorrow Vi" I called, waving at my friend and classmate Violet as I left work. "See ya, Red" Violet called back.
(The cake shop that Red works at)
Red isn't my real name, it was just a nickname I got called, my real name was Y/N, but since I liked the colour red and pretty much always wore at least one item of clothing, make-up or an accessory that was red, I earned the nickname Red.
I scooped my phone and earphones out of my bag and slung it over my shoulder, making sure it was closed properly and my work clothes weren't hanging out. I plug in my earphones and scrolled through the list of songs, trying to decide what song to choose.
Since I danced, I was constantly listening to music, making up choreography's in my head whenever I listened to a song, old or new. I decided to listen to Set Fire to the Rain by Adele since my dance assignment required us to produce a choreo that shows deep emotion and listening to it now would help me get a feel how I would be dancing.
I sighed as I thought about the next 2 years I would have ahead of me. Last year was the first of my three year long course studying art, dance and music at the Sunhwa Arts High Shool (SA) and the second year had started just under a week ago.I was about to turn the corner to my apartment when I felt someone tap my arm, I instantly swiveled round to see who it was. A man was standing in front of me, smiling slighty as he inspected my face. I was used to people staring and commenting about me since I was a foreigner, but I'd rarely ever been stopped, if so then it was usually by high school girls and boys asking questions and such. I tugged my earphones out of my ears.
"Yes?" I asked in Korean.
The man looked surprised "Oh, you speak Korean." He muttered to himself. I looked at him, waiting for him to ask his question. "Excuse me, but have you ever though of becoming an idol?" My mind took a moment to process what he'd just asked."Pardon!?"
That completely threw me off guard, I wasn't even expecting him to ask me something like that. Is this a joke or something?
"Uh...." I said while slowly backing away. Maybe I should have acted like I didn't understand him, then I wouldn't be in this awkward situation.
"No, wait!" I'm serious." He quickly pulled out a business card and handed it to me. I glanced down at the card, it read 'Bang Si-Hyuk: President of Big Hit Entertainment'I've heard of that company. Korea has a huge K-pop culture that most Koreans my age are into and its hard to miss it since it's literally everywhere. If I remeber correctly, BigHit is currently on the rise because of their boy group that have become quite popular both nationally and internationally, I just couldn't remember the name of the group.
I looked back up at the man who smiled at me again "I would appreciate it if you could come in for a meeting with me sometime soon. How about tomorrow at 6:30pm, would that be ok with you?"
"Um....sure, I guess" What the hell are you doing Red??
"OK then I'll see you tomorrow bye!" He called as he quickly bowed and walked off with a triumphant smile on his face.I just stood there frozen. What have I just gotten myself into?
