She's was perfect
She was everything beautiful in the world bundled in one
She was kind to everyone
She could make anyone laugh, brighten up your day in an instant
She was the prettiest girl you have ever seen
She was like a book
Waiting to be opened
A book that would bring you joy, all the joy in the world
But perfection isn't enough for some people
They would find something, anything to criticize
They would rip pages out of her
Tear them apart
And before they had to return her, tape the shreds of paper back
But it wasn't the same
She tried to still bring joy to people
But now all they saw was the tape
All they saw was the doodles, signatures, the bent pages
All they saw was the imperfection
And soon later her book was taken off the shelf
Because nobody wants something that's not perfect
