Chap 27-Broken

--Karen's POV--
"Um can you leave us alone please grayson" my mom cleared her throat. He turned to walk away

"No grayson your staying" I pulled him and glared at my mom "now what happened" I crossed my arms

"Well um" she hesitated for a second "I knew you were pregnant before" she cleared her throat

"What?!" I looked at her the blood flowing through my veins quickly

"You were showing signs! Your 17 you can't be pregnant at 17!" She yelled. I'm showing signs? I'm 17? I can't be pregnant at 17? I slowly looked up

"W-wait. You did something didn't you..." I looked at her. She looked down "you did something to my baby!" I ran at her but before I got to her two arms grabbed me by the waist

"Baby calm down" he hugged me. I broke down immediately at the thought of my mom hurting me

"You did this to me. You hurt me. You broke me. You don't deserve me" I whispered

"I gave you everything!" She screamed

"But in the end does any of this matter anymore?! You hurt me can't you see that!" I cried

"Honey" my dad walked over to me

"Did you know?" I looked up at him

"No" he shook his head

"Um I'm going to stay somewhere else for a while" I cleared my throat

"I'll help you pack" grayson walked with me to the room as my mothers sobs grew louder

"C-can I stay with you for a little" I sniffled putting my head in my hands

"Of course" he walked over to me hugging me "i love you" he whispered kissing my head

"I love you too" I said in the middle of my hiccups

"Come on" he tapped my hip and got up smiling at me

--Grayson's POV--
I can't stand seeing her sad. She's been through so much in such little time and our junior year is almost over she has to be strong. I have to be strong for her.

"Let's go" I whispered putting my hand on the small of her back

"Please take care of her" her father came up to me

"Of course" I smiled before walking outside to where Karen was standing. I smiled at her before opening the door. She let out a small smile. A fake. Small smile. I sighed and shut the door

I rushed to her side and opened the door. I grabbed her stuff along with her hand and walked up to the front door

"Hey ma" I said putting her stuff down and leading her to where she was sitting. She pulled down her glasses and set her iPad down

"Hi Gray. Hello K" she smiled at us

"Mom is it okay if Karen...stays here for a while" I cleared his throat

"Yeah of course. Is something wrong honey?" She looked at her

"W-well my mom" she looked down pausing with tears threatening to spill out

"Her mom knew she was pregnant before and did something to get rid of the 'problem' " I finished the sentence for her

"Oh my lord" she got up hugging her "is there anything you want I can do for you?" She rubbed her back

"I just want to S-sleep" she stuttered pulling away

"Of course grayson take her up" she smiled at me

"Come on babe" I held her hand and grabbed her suitcase leading her upstairs

"Do you want anything. I'll bring you whatever you want" I whispered pulling the covers up so she can get in

"I just want to sleep" she barely let out in a whisper with her eyes slowly closing "please stay with me" she shivered

"Of course baby" she moved back and I got in wrapped my arms around her with her arms holding me "it's going to be okay" I kissed her head

I opened my eyes and Karen was still asleep. My poor baby's been through so much. I hate seeing her like this. She gets better then something else happens. Her own mother. I sighed sitting up causing her to slowly move around

"Grayson" she whimpered

"I'm here baby I'm here" I held her hand

"Everything hurts" a tear slipped from her eye as she sat up slowly

"Do you want me to bring you medicine?" I looked at her finding hurt and betrayal in her eyes

"Please" she cried holding her knees up to her chest

I kissed her head and ran downstairs to my mom

"Is she okay?" My mom said cutting lettuce in the kitchen

"No" I sighed rubbing my temples

"She's going to be fine honey if she has someone as strong as you by her side she will be fine" she smiled at me

"Thanks ma" I smiled

"Anytime baby boy" she kissed my cheek and went back to working

I grabbed the Advil and ran upstairs finding Karen in the same exact position when I left her

"Here you go baby" I handed her the tablet with the water from the bed side

"Thank you" she threw the pill in her mouth and sipped the water

"Is there anything you want?" I looked at her

"Can we watch Netflix and can you hold me?" She looked at me with no emotion

"Yesssss I couldn't wait till you asked that. Scoot down" I jumped under the blanket she didn't even smile she just moved away
