*This is what Adelaide has worn basically forever, ever since she ran away. The rose necklace was given to her by her mother.*
Anyways, hope you enjoy the story!

Adelaide-

I can't take this anymore, I'm going to get caught, and it's all because of this damned red hair! Why couldn't I have black hair, or any other colour? Then no one would be able to find me! But no, I just had to be cursed with this disasterous mop.

I was so distracted in thought that I forgot I had a hood and cape. To hide every single flaw underneath."

"there it is! Catch it! Don't let her escape!!!"

Oh no, it's the officers!

I put on my black mask and flicked my raven hood over my head and sprinted as fast as I could. That was until I started to become extremely lightheaded.

I spotted a large building in the distance. It was extravagant. But for some reason that building just looked so fimiliar to me. I just can't put my finger on it.

I heard the screeching of the whistles, alerting me that the men coming after me were getting closer. I had to get to that building, and fast.

I took a large breath, and sprinted toward the building, I could see it getting closer and closer. But the closer I got, the more blurred my vision became.

That's when it started to rain. Oh how lovely. But ha! Those pesky officers won't find me now. They're ancient eyes are too old that they couldn't even see a cat walk across their path.

I kept running though, I had to make it to shelter before I freeze to death. Usually my method when it rains is to find the nearest tree and sit under it. It wasn't all that great, but it was the only shelter that I could find.

I finally made it to my destination, but realized there were some stairs to climb. That's when the downpour came.
I tried to go as quick as I could up the steps, but then my foot slipped and my stomach and hands hit the stone cold marble. Knocking the wind out of me. And scratching up my hands.

I couldn't breathe, I could feel my heart pounding a hundred beats per minute.
But I couldn't stop now, not when I'm only a few steps away.

So I started to crawl, I could feel the tears of pain fall down my face, but I was strong and I couldn't let that get in the way of my life.
I looked down and realized that there were no longer any more steps in front of me. And I looked up to see the door handle.

I then reach out to grab it, almost slipping down the stairs in the process. But I got a hold of the handle just in time.

All of a sudden I was greeted by the pure and utter darkness of the building. The only possible source of light was coming from the now moonlit night.
I sighed realizing it was already another day past and I still am on my own, trying to hide from humanity once again.
I just wish that life was back to how it used to be. Before mother died, then I wouldn't be the pathetic nuisance to humanity that I am now.
I looked up to see a staircase. I walked slowly up them trying not to make a single sound.
I looked at my surroundings. This place must be fairly new, because all of the monuments were polished and clean. Not a scratch to be seen. And the walls looked as though they were freshly painted. It was beautiful.

As I made it to the top of the stairs, I peeked around the corner and noticed that there was a long hallway. It looked pretty dark but I was used to the darkness. Being living out on the streets for so long you kind of get used to it.
It's the light that I despise the most. There is nowhere to go when you wear black and have the brightest shade of red hair.
I got so lost in thought that I didn't realize that there was another set of stairs. And I could feel the gravity push me forward and towards the wooden steps. Fortunately, I caught myself before any damage was done.
