Adelaide's POV:

The chandelier, I could see it slowly falling down towards the stage. My father was anywhere but in sight. I turned to see if my mother was still by my side. But her figure was nowhere to be seen.

"Mother!!?" I screamed as loud as my still developing lungs could.

Then all of a sudden, I saw her stare right at me from the front of the theatre.

All I could hear was a scream. And of course, me being curious all the time, ran towards the front, looking for where the loud sound was coming from. But in the process I could feel the floor coming apart from the moment I stepped onto the wooden slabs.

That's when I fell, down and down, into a pit of fire as it consumed me with its over bearing power and strength. My vision was blocked from the everlasting waterfall of tears that escaped from my body.

But as soon as I could even think about trying to escape, it was too late, I was already consumed by the darkness.

__
I awoke abruptly, and all of a sudden I felt a weird material up against my body.
I looked down.
Wait. Is this SILK?
I started to panic.
Where the hell am I?
And who's bed am I sleeping in!?
I stood up, slowly sneaking out of the unfamiliar room.
Then all of a sudden I heard a soft melody play, not too far away from where I was.
As I walked out, I saw a lake, surrounded by mist.
And a boat. It could tell that it was old, but it looked surprisingly sturdy.
I turned my head, and saw exactly where the playing was coming from.
I could only see the back of the figure, as they were facing the other way towards the organ.
All of a sudden, I spotted something sitting on a side table to the right of me.
It looked like a monkey.
I walked, well crept, very slowly and as stealthy as I could towards it. But as soon as I came 2 feet close to it. My foot got caught in the crack of the stone and my body came in contact with the side table, bringing it along down to the cobblestone with me.

So much for stealth.

And then, the music just stopped.
I turned my head and noticed that the shadowy figure was gone.
My heart beat started to quicken its pace as many ideas and possibilities came into mind.
'Where did they go?'
'Where am I?'
'How did I make it to this strange place?'
'I might just die today'

I tried to remove the table from my weakening body, but the piece of furniture was way too heavy.

Oh my god, I have to get out of here before somebody finds my body dead floating along the murky lake.

Wait, the lake.

That's how I can escape.

Usually bodies of water lead to civilization

Not that I really want to be acknowledged by the world.
And it seems like this lake isn't even part of normal outdoor nature itself, seeing as there is a ceiling and walls surrounding the large area where I lay.
However there is not hurt in trying, right?
I can't just give up now.

But how to do it?

'You could always run, it seems to always work for you, and it's the best way to escape from a problem like this'

My mind actually came up with something logical for once in my life.

I knew I could get away. But there was just one problem.

I'm stuck under a side table.

And god it's heavy!
What the heck is this made of?
