Somewhere in the forest
The moon was high in the sky. An old man gazed at it.
"It's been ten moons since we last chose a Protector. Who did you choose this time?" He asked.
A faint whisper was heard. The old man nodded and turned away from the moon.
When the old man got to the camp he called a meeting with the four minor leaders of the groups.
Serena's POV (kinda)
Serena jumped on her horse and headed towards the city. She got off when she arrived. The young elf smiled and headed in the lively city. She approached a bread market and stood in line.
"Are you really going to wait that much time just to get a piece of bread?"
She heard behind her back. A swift turn and she saw Aden leaning against the thick wall. The girl smiled and left the long line to join him.
"I didn't think I'd see you here!"
"Well, vacation's over." He shrugged.
"You were gone ten months! Where did you really go?" Serena asked in a smirk.
"You'll see soon enough."
"What's that suppose to mean?" She frowned and walked back to her horse not even waiting for an answer.
Aden followed her and mounted his own horse who was just besides.
The sunset came fast and the moon showed up, shinning brightly. The two friends stopped their horses before they entered the forest.
"The moon is so beautiful..." Serena said in a faint smile.
Her friend nodded and brought his dark horse in the pitch black darkness of the forest. The girl followed.
"I have a surprise." Aden said.
The girl shrugged.
"Okay."
A few minutes after they were in front a large creek. Aden debarked of his mount and said to Serena to do same. He advanced towards the cove and multiple people were seen. Serena didn't understand but still, she trusted him.
Aden turned around and smiled showing her where she was.
"Welcome to the house of the Protectors!"
Author's note: god dang this took me to much of thinking and brain action to write! I didn't have inspiration XD
