Seven.

I began choking, spitting out the water I had currently been drinking in hopes that my beet red face would disappear.

The water spurted everywhere all over people at the table. As embarrassed as I was, I couldn't stop choking. The water felt like lead in my lungs and I coughed harder trying to get it out

. Hunter proceeded to make his way over to me and try to pat me on the back but Grayson quickly swatted his hand away. I, now desperate to breathe became vey panicky. A lady who had to be somewhere in her late forties proceeded to help me out.

She swatted my back a few times, hard might I add, and the rest of the water flew again. I took a few desperate breaths and smiled at her thankful for the help. Like a ton of bricks, the information I had just consumed got me so startled I backed up. Leaning against the wall I started to process the information.

Werewolf?

Mate?

Werewolf?

Mate?

MATE?

The words were swirling through my head and I started to become very nervous.

I was a bookworm and I started to recall things I read about. But weren't they just myths? The pieces began to click together in my mind and if what I was hearing was true it would make sense.

If they were werewolf's this would be their pack. A mate? Oh sh*t, I had heard about this part. They were like soul mates to a werewolf; they loved each other and cared for each other, and were supposed to be forever.

I had one?

No, Grayson couldn't be my mate. That wasn't logical. They could kill me. This could be my last week, my last moment, and my last breath. Werewolves were dangerous.

I had to leave, to get out of there.

I turned.....

And started running.......................
