10 days Camp

Belated gift

Hi im Yassi De Liman, 18 years of existency and im proud of being a volleyball player. If you're asking if im single ofcourse yes. Though my parents allow me to have a boyfriend i decided not enter that kind of thing first because im the only child in our family and i want to finish my study first. Im not saying that i won't have a boyfriend unless im already graduated, because im waiting for someone.

'ok so there will be an in coming camp for all the varsity of this university so each camp there are two teams. The badminton team and the table tennis team are the team A then the volleyball team together with basketball team we are the team B. So see you tomorrow at 3:00 in the midnight! Dont ever come here late or else you will be punish as we go there! And wait before i forgot the earlier you come the most surprising who will be your partner we're going to stay there for 10 days so see you tomorrow team!' Coach chua said

im so naiirita na! why they can't just shut up! they keep on yelling that they are gonna attend the camp. Like seriously? is this the first time that this team will go to a camp? because they act like it is. they already informed us about this last week actually.

While im waiting for manong jime our driver im really confused why do the volleyball team always paired will the basketball team? i don't get the point.

then finally manong is here! before i entered the car someone yelled at me and say;

'see you capt.' excited voice.

'seeyah!' i replied

yes! im the team captain of the team being the team captain for 4years is not so easy. it is happy but it is so hard responsibility but i love it. i shown my team how to be responsible in terms on how to balance the study and the sports. Im always saying to my team that 'Don't focus on the score. just relax and enjoy the game! play hard!' that's my wisdom word for them not to be nervous.

before i enter the house i noticed the car outside our house but i refuse to mind it.

'im home.' i said.

'oh honey come here we have a surprise for you' mom said

'what is that?' i asked

she put the little box in my hand then she said;

'open it honey' with a big smile on her face

while im opening it i didnt notice that my dad is behind my back and taking me a record. after i unwrapped the box i saw a car key.

'mom, dad, what is the meaning of this?'

'honey can you see the car outside? that was for you. actually dapat nung debut mupa yon. im sorry honey if we're not here nung debut mo. we decided to buy a car for you. that is what i promised to you remember? i told you before that when you turned 18 i will buy you a car so that's your honey. I hope mapatawad mo kame ng mama mo because wala kame dito noong kaarawan mo. I Love You honey' dad said.

I give them a huge hug to show them that i really appreciated there effort to buy me a car

'dad, mom im not mad to both of you hindi ako nag tatampo sainyo. I understand that because is just for me. you're working because you want me to have a better future. I Love You the most mom and dad. Thank you so much for this so much appreciated gift. This is the most precious gift i've ever had.'

'That's ok honey. Come lets eat. Lumalamig na ang pagkain.' With a big smile on her face.

While were eating di maalis sa isip ko na. How lucky i am to have a parents like this. Yes i admit that at first im seeking for there attention. Lagi silang wala sa mga even sa school na dapat andun sila. Manang is always there for me. She is the one who take a good care to my mom since she was a young girl and now ako na inaalagaan nya. Madalas si manang ang kukuha ng report card ko when i was still in primary school. I understand thst because i know while my parents are working they are also thinking of me, they are also concern to me sa mga oras na wala sila iniisip nila kung asan ako at kung kumain naba ako. Mom always texting me that way.

'How's your game yas?' Dad asked.

'Hmm.. i guess it is better than before dad' i replied with a smile.

'How can you say so?'

'Because dad i know to myself that i learned a lot from my mistakes before and yet i can stand in my own feet now.' I replied confidently

'So pwede kana umalis sa bahay na to' mom said

'Huuuuh? What? Why? Did i say something wrong?' I asked

'Nothing honey. You said that you can now stand by your own feet. Then you should live with your own house. You should buy your foods by your own money. Understand?' Mom said.

'But im just a teen mom. I have no work yet. Im just half the way to all my dreams. Im currently working hard to graduate and to get work. After that i will save a little for my future baby if possible.'

'What about house? You didn't even mention first the house. How could you yas. Where do you wanna live with you child huh?' She asked me with her challenging voice.

'I didn't mention to build a house because i wanna stay here. I wanna spend my time with you. Mom, dad, i know that when the time comes and it will happens both of you are already retired. That is my chance to show how i care and how i love the both of you. Sa oras na di na kayo makatayo sa higaan nyo at natatapon na ultimo kinakain at iniinom nyo dun nyoko mas kailangan. So i dont wanna build my own house. I will live here with you mom and dad.' I said

As i finish what im saying i come near to mom and dad and i gave them a hug.

'You're right honey. We can now say that you can stand up by your own.' Mom said.

I smile at her as my response.

'I love you yas!' They both say that

'I love you too mom and dad' then i kiss them.
