Georgia gulped and moved off her bed.
Was something wrong?
"It's Halloween today and I'm thinking that we should go somewhere nice." Tate said nervously and picked at a seam in his tshirt.
Georgia widened her eyes, but smiled brightly. She had expected so much worse.
"Oh! That would be lovely." She grinned and walked past him to go to her wardrobe and pick something out for her Halloween costume.
"I'm glad you want to."
Georgia blushed as she looked into her wardrobe more and hid her face from him because she was smiling like a fool.
The words of Constance and Violet were completely out of her mind because he had said this, and her heart was racing from the affection.
"Costume or not?" She asked.
"I'd say costume. We might as well be in the spirit." Tate replied.
After several more minutes of Georgia guessing where he was planning to take her, Tate left with a smile.

Georgia was in a happy daze. She didn't even notice when Moira walked into the room to talk to her.
"Miss Georgia-"
"Oh my god! I didn't even see you! Sorry Moira." Georgia jumped and exclaimed in surprise.
"Oh it's alright Miss Georgia. I just wanted to ask you if I could take today and maybe tomorrow off work because I want to visit my dying mother." Moira said sadly and dabbed her eyes before she could start crying.
Georgia pulled Moira into a hug, where the maid was stiff at first but then she relaxed and hugged the girl back.
"Definitely Moira. You work so hard here and you simply must see the ones you love. I hope your mother's situation changes." Georgia said softly.
Moira smiled and a tear fell down her cheek. Vivian was a nice woman from the last family but even she didn't seem to have a big a heart as Georgia, and that touched Moira greatly.
"Thank you. I've got a replacement for me so the house stays intact." She said before exited the room and Georgia heard her pulling a suitcase out of the house and a shutting of the door.

Later in the day whilst Georgia was getting ready for Halloween by putting skeleton makeup on, the doorbell rang.
Georgia furrowed her eyebrows because she forgot Moira had arranged a replacement and opened the door shyly.
"Hello?" Georgia said as she opened the door to see that a tall, black haired and brown eyed man with glasses and a smart suit was waiting at the doorstep.
The man smiled politely.
"Hello, I'm Chad Warwick and I'm here to help you and your mother for Halloween."
Georgia nodded and let him inside.
"I love your jacket." Georgia complimented and the man genuinely looked taken aback by how nice the young girl was being.
"Thanks. Aren't you a nice girl." Chad commented and made himself at home in the house, looking around it and imagining where Halloween decorations would go.
"Moira said I should do the decorations too as well as cleaning." He stated and carried on walking around the house.
"Oh if you don't mind going to the trouble then that would be fantastic! I'll let you do what you want." Georgia said to the man and waited patiently for him to stop being in such a trance with the house.
Chad walked around in a circle admiring the rooms before landing his eyes on Georgia and startling himself.
"Ah. I like you Georgia. You know when people can handle things on their own."
Georgia nodded and left to head back upstairs.
For a couple of hours she stopped getting ready and just listened to music and properly unpacked some of her things because of how distracted she was on the first night.
A knock on her bedroom door brought her back to reality and she answered it straight away.
Chad was stood there and had a smug expression on his face.
"I think you should come and see this Miss Georgia."
Georgia raised an eyebrow and followed the man downstairs to see how he had decorated the house.
Georgia's jaw dropped when she saw how well he had done his job.
It wasn't just tacky plastic skulls and some paper cutouts but lace curtains and beads and atmospheric props.
"Wow. You're brilliant. I wish we hired you full time Chad!" Georgia said, very impressed.
Chad crossed his arms and grinned at her reaction.
Seeing all the Halloween things made Georgia remember to get ready so she rushed upstairs and finished her makeup. The girl decided on wearing a short black skater dress with long thigh high black boots to go with her skeleton look.
Once Georgia heard the doorbell, she ran downstairs and opened it excitedly.
"Hello Tate!" She smiled and walked out into her porch to greet him.
He looked her up and down kind of creepily but she ignored it and hugged him.
"Its the first time I've spent Halloween with a friend, usually I sit around watching horror films by myself." She confessed, an explanation to why she was so excited.
Tate laughed and started walking her down the street.
His Halloween costume was supposed to be a murderer or something who had blood down their clothes and it looked scarily realistic.
"So where are we going? You didn't tell me earlier." Georgia persisted and tugged on one of his sweatshirt sleeves.
Tate rolled his eyes and grinned like a maniac.
"Just a restaurant Georgia."
