Skin Deep (a Danisnotonfire fan fiction)

Chapter 1- What does it mean?

"I'm almost 17". I say to myself. "I finally get to know who my soul mate is!"

When I woke up the next morning I immediately check my wrist. And there in black script is a name. It reads "Dan", but who is Dan, I do not know a Dan. I shrug it off and head downstairs.

"So?" my mom asks as I enter the kitchen. I show her the name and she looks confused. "Who's Dan?"

"Your guess is as good as mine", I tell her while putting bread in the toaster. She could tell I'm disappointed.

I head back upstairs to get ready for school. Even though its my birthday, I still have to go to school.

I drive myself to school and as soon as I park, I am bombarded by my friends. I show them the name and they all give me the same look my mother gave me.

"Maybe you'll meet Dan when we go to England". My friend, Sophie, suggested. I knew she was only trying to cheer me up. I had forgotten that we were headed to England in two weeks. As part of my gift, my parents agreed that I could go with my history class.

I spent most of the day trying to figure out who Dan was. My town was small, and from what I knew, no one by the name of Dan lived here.

My night was pretty normal, I got cake, I opened some gifts, got some phone calls from family. But I always had "Who is Dan"? in the back of my mind

A/N-I literally got this idea at work and started writing it at work. Any feedback would be lovely, I think I might actually update this one on a regular basis, even though I have no idea where this one is headed. I will try to make the chapters longer but this is only the beginning. I hope you all enjoy <3
